The 226 Hammerheads - Troy High School robotics team, is part of the worldwide robotics foundation FIRST in Michigan Robotics Competition. This past spring, they applied for the Troy Community Foundation’s Spring 2026 Grant, and we are pleased to announce that they were awarded $500!

The Hammerheads team focuses on designing and programming robots for competitions while promoting STEM education in our community through outreach programs. The team competes regionally and nationally, fostering teamwork and engineering skills among our members.

Congratulations, Hammerheads! Keep inspiring innovation, inclusion and teamwork so future generations of STEAM leaders can become prominent members in an ever-advancing world.

We are excited to announce our first Spring 2026 Grant recipient!

Congratulations, Troy Argonauts!

The Troy Argonauts (FRC Team 8728) is a FIRST Robotics Competition team founded in 2021 and based at Troy Athens High School. The team sought funding to support general operations and competition costs for the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition season. The $500 award will help cover costs like registration fees, parts and materials for robot design and build, travel fees for competitions, and essential tools and supplies used during our build season.

The Troy Community Foundation is proud to support the team and organization so it can continue to deliver community impact through inspiring our Troy-area youth.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice made our freedoms possible, and their legacy lives on in the communities we build together every day.

As we gather with family, friends and neighbors, we remember those who never made it home and hold their loved ones in our hearts.

At the heart of every strong community is gratitude, service and remembrance. Today, we honor those who gave everything and recommit ourselves to creating a future worthy of their sacrifice.

Happy to be a host partner for this event! Ask any of these Troy nonprofit organizations what options we have for directed donations in your wills and trusts, a great way to leave a lasting legacy in our community.

Last night, more than 45 community members gained tools to plan for their future at the free Estate Planning 101 seminar hosted by Giamarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C. Attendees explored key topics including wills and last testaments, durable powers of attorney for financial, health, and mental care, and revocable living trusts.

This community education event, held at the Troy Community Center, was made possible through partnerships with the Troy Historical Society (Troy Historic Village), Troy Nature Society (Stage Nature Center), Troy Community Foundation, and Friends of the Troy Public Library.
