Thank you to the employees at Cummins Inc for assembling and donating hygiene kits to Community Housing Network, and thank you to United Way for Southeastern Michigan for helping facilitate this partnership.

These kits will support individuals experiencing homelessness and participants in our housing programs. For someone living on the streets, fleeing domestic violence, or moving into a new home after homelessness, basic necessities can make all the difference.

Yesterday, Kirsten Elliott, Community Housing Network President & CEO, attended and spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony for Auburn Oaks, a new housing development in Rochester Hills that will include integrated homeownership opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

CHN is proud to support this project through the IDD Housing Access Pilot Program (IHAPP), a Michigan State Housing Development Authority funded initiative administered by CHN to expand affordable, accessible, and community-integrated housing options for people with IDD.

Auburn Oaks represents the power of collaboration and innovation between CHN, MSHDA, Rochester Housing Solutions, Oakland County, Michigan Government, and the Three Oaks Communities in creating inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity, independence, and connection.

We look forward to seeing this exciting project come to life and the impact it will have for future residents!

MSHDA joined our partners Oakland County, Michigan Government, Three Oaks Communities, Rochester Housing Solutions, and Community Housing Network, Inc. for the groundbreaking of Auburn Oaks, the county’s second neuro-inclusive neighborhood in Rochester Hills.

This development will bring 55 new homes to the community, including dedicated units designed to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Auburn Oaks reflects a shared commitment to expanding inclusive, affordable homeownership and strengthening long-term housing stability.
