We set an ambitious internal goal for our 4th annual Connecting Fore a Cause Golf Tournament.

Because of our amazing partners and participants, we didn’t just reach it—we exceeded it by nearly 20%.

Thank you.

Whether you sponsored a hole, filled a foursome, donated a prize, or simply spent the day on the course with us, you turned one day into something that will long outlast the scorecards.

Here’s what that day becomes: safe, stable homes for our neighbors right here in Oakland County.

That’s why one day on a golf course matters. It was never really about golf. It was about the family who gets to stop moving from motel to motel, the parent who finally has an address to put on a job application, the person who gets a second chance at a front door of their own.

From all of us at Community Housing Network—thank you for helping us open more doors and transform more lives.

We can’t wait to see you next year.

Housing isn't just a roof. It's independence. Dignity. The ability to choose where you live and who you live near.

For many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, that choice is out of reach. Limited income. Too few accessible units. Waitlists that stretch for years. Some remain in settings that no longer fit their lives. Others live with aging caregivers and no long-term plan.

The IDD Housing Access Pilot Program is Community Housing Network's answer to that.

IHAPP provides gap financing to developers and homebuyers to build housing that's affordable, disability-forward, and woven into mixed-income neighborhoods across Michigan—near transit, near jobs, near community. It supports rental developments, mixed-income projects, and homeownership through down payment assistance.

But funding is only half of it. CHN also provides technical assistance: how to structure a project, layer funding sources, design accessible units, and keep them affordable for the long haul. That knowledge stays with developers long after the pilot ends.

The goal isn't one building. It's a future where inclusive housing is the norm, not the exception.

Three years. No stable home. A daughter to raise.

Lebrea had every reason to stop. She didn't.

Today she has a home, and a goal: give back to the community that showed up for her.

Three years ago, it was a conversation.

Last Wednesday, it was a shovel in the ground.

We broke ground on Lincoln Avenue Lofts in Port Huron: 40 affordable homes, and Community Housing Network's first development in St. Clair County.

Twenty of those homes will be permanent supportive housing.

That's four decades of people having somewhere to come home to.

A housing crisis rarely starts with an eviction notice. It starts with a car repair. A missed shift. A rent increase that lands the same week as a medical bill.

That's the moment our Oakland County Housing Stability and Homeless Prevention Program is built for—and thanks to a $150,000 People Award from Consumers Energy Foundation, we can meet more families in it.

This investment means more households stay in the homes they already have. It means fewer kids change schools mid-year. It means the difference between a hard month and a lost home.

Community Housing Network is partnering with Lighthouse on this project to bring housing stability and prevent homelessness across Oakland County, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all communities and reducing barriers for people to access this vital service.

Thank you, Consumers Energy, for backing the work that keeps Oakland County families housed.

WE DID IT. 🚩

We set an internal goal for this year's Connecting Fore a Cause golf tournament ... and thanks to every golfer, sponsor, and donor who showed up Friday, we exceeded it by nearly 20%!

But here's the thing ... it was never really about golf.

Your support becomes something bigger: a safe, stable home for a neighbor in Oakland County. It's the family who stops moving from motel to motel. The parent who finally has an address for a job application. The person who gets a second chance at a front door of their own.

To our presenting sponsor Oakwood Construction, every sponsor, every foursome, and everyone who chipped in, thank you for helping us open more doors and transform more lives.

See you next year. 💛
