Our mission is to enrich the lives of people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities through social connections, family support, the arts, and recreational opportunities. ☕ A Community Cup for Everyone was created in partnership with Higher Grounds Trading Co. to make Mondays - and every day - a little bit better.

Join us for Art Pop Up at the Disability Network Northern Michigan this Wednesday, from 3:00–4:30 PM.

Then on Friday, we'll be at for the first Rolling Thunder bowling day of the year with the Down Syndrome Association of Northwest Michigan. See you there!

🎃💃 A spooktacular night with friends! 🕺👻

Our Better Together crew had a wonderful time celebrating Halloween with our friends at Grand Traverse Industries this week!

There’s nothing quite like a night of music, dancing, costumes, and familiar faces to remind us how much fun it is to come together as a community. 💛

Sending a HUGE thank you to Grand Traverse Industries for organizing such a fun and welcoming celebration, the Traverse City Elks Lodge #323 for hosting, and to all the staff and volunteers who helped make the evening so special!

We love opportunities to connect with friends across our community, and this was definitely a night to remember. 🧡✨

There's still time to help Better Together become one of Oryana's 2027 Groceries for Good recipients! Voting closes this Saturday, October 31, and we'd love your support.

Each month, Oryana Community Co-op selects a local nonprofit to receive donations through customer round-ups at checkout, plus 2% of sales from one designated day. It's an incredible way to turn everyday grocery shopping into meaningful community support!

For Better Together, that support means more opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build friendships, explore new interests, and experience the joy of belonging. 💙

🍂💛 Better Together has been full of life since our Fall Festival last Saturday.

Our neighbors the Duells provided apples and our cider-making setup, face painting, and supported our hayrides along with Gerry Olsen. Kelsey Burnell and Steve Bollinger kept everyone in the barn moving with their lively music, and our favorite honorary members, the SHEEP!, had their time and fuzziness donated by the Zebolskys. We're sending thanks to all of you and the rest of our incredible volunteers who helped ensure the space was ready to host such an incredible harvest party.

💛 Better Together is built on community — and our members are at the heart of it!

From creative afternoons to new adventures around Northern Michigan, there's always something to look forward to when we're together.

🍂 And speaking of adventures, we're heading to @ in Traverse City tomorrow, Friday, October 16!

This new, family-owned farm is full of fall fun, with friendly farm animals, corn mazes, hayrides, and plenty of opportunities to explore and make memories together!

🎟️ Admission for our outing is $12 per person and RSVP is required. If you or someone you love is looking for a place to connect, create, explore, and belong, we'd love to welcome you to Better Together!
