The newly released 2026 San Joaquin County Point-in-Time Count offers an encouraging reminder: while homelessness remains a significant challenge, meaningful progress is happening.

Compared to 2024, the report found a 30% decrease in the total number of people experiencing homelessness across San Joaquin County.

Behind every statistic is a person, a family, or a neighbor whose life has been impacted by outreach, housing, supportive services, and a community that cares.

There is still important work ahead, but this progress reminds us that solutions are possible when nonprofits, local governments, community partners, volunteers, donors, and residents work together.

At Tracy Community Connections Center, we're proud to be part of that collective effort.

πŸ’™ Thank you for helping make progress possible.

πŸŽ‰ Thank You, Sandia National Laboratories!

We are honored to receive an $8,500 grant from Sandia National Labs in support of Tracy Community Connections Center's Road to Housing Stability Fund.

This investment helps provide critical resources that move individuals and families from housing instability toward long-term stability. Whether it's helping someone remain housed, navigate barriers to securing housing, or take the next step toward self-sufficiency, this funding will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors.

We are grateful to Sandia National Laboratories for partnering with us to strengthen our community and create brighter futures.

Together, we're building pathways to stability - one neighbor at a time.

πŸ“š **Back-to-school season brings more than school supply lists.**

For many families, August isn't just about buying notebooks and backpacks.

It's also about figuring out how to cover:
β€’ Rent
β€’ Utility bills
β€’ Groceries
β€’ Transportation
β€’ Childcare
β€’ School fees and activities

When every dollar has a job, even routine back-to-school expenses can create added stress.

At Tracy Community Connections Center, we know that financial challenges don't always look the same. Sometimes families just need a little extra support to make it through a difficult season - and that's okay.

Whether someone needs help accessing resources, navigating a hardship, or connecting with community support, no one should have to face those challenges alone.

πŸ’™ If you or someone you know could use support, we're here to help.

And if you're looking for a way to make a difference, your donations, volunteer hours, and shared support help us continue serving our neighbors when they need it most.

Together, we can help make the school year a little brighter for local families.

🚨 URGENT DONATION NEED: Laundry Detergent

Our supply of laundry detergent was stolen, and we need our community’s help replenishing it as soon as possible so we can continue providing free laundry services to our neighbors in need.

🧺 We need: Liquid HE laundry detergent ONLY

Every bottle helps us keep this essential service running.

If you’re able to donate, please bring liquid HE detergent to TCCC. Please share this post, too - getting the word out can make a big difference.

Thank you, Tracy, for always showing up when our community needs you. πŸ’™

πŸ’™ Client Impact Story πŸ’™

After living in the same Tracy home for 11 years, one of our clients - whom we'll call **NS** - received unexpected news. The homeowners had decided to renovate and sell the property, leaving her without a place to live.

Living on a fixed income, NS suddenly found herself facing housing instability and unsure where to turn.

Having previously connected with TCCC while seeking help for her son's recovery journey, she reached out to our Outreach Team for assistance. Although Tracy's shelter was temporarily unable to accept new intakes due to a change in operators, our team quickly explored other options and connected her with a shelter in Manteca.

While there, NS was able to reconnect with family members in the East Bay. Just a few weeks later, she was able to move to Walnut Creek to be with them and begin this new chapter surrounded by the support of loved ones.

At TCCC, we know that every situation is unique. Sometimes the most important thing we can provide isn't just a service - it's a connection, a referral, or someone who refuses to give up until a solution is found.

Thank you to everyone who supports TCCC and makes stories like this possible.
