TFF first outing of the season is finally here. It's on! Kistler Ranch. Gates will be open at 5:45 a.m this Sat. May 9th. I talked to Jenny Kistler and she said the ponds are still pretty full. I think everybody knows how to get there but if you are new and want to go, call Jeff at 209-207-1385. Remember members and family members only. With this covid going on I think we will have bring your own lunch and drinks. Supposed to be around 98 on Sat. so hopefully the bass bite will be HOT TO!

March 18th meeting with Jon Baiocchi is canceled due to the Coronavirus . The city is closing down the facilities so we won't be able to use them. An email has been sent out but it might not reach everyone so if you know somebody please call them and tell them that this meeting is canceled. Right now with this fluid situation that we have, April meeting is also up the air and we'll get to that as soon as we know more. As far as we know, you can still fish, so get out there and hit your favorite water. Take care and Godspeed to everyone.

Our November 21
Meeting will Feature Brian Pultz
Float N' Fly
Brian Pultz is doing a presentation called Float and Fly. This technique incorporates
a combination indicator and jig presentation that has become popular for walk in
fishing on many reservoirs while casting parallel to the shore line over likely structure.
Jigs are deadly when used in this manner and some might claim that it is not really fly
fishing. Lets just say it is an adaptation of a fishing style that can and is carried over to
fly fishing. Different aspects of fishing the foothill lakes in the area for bass during the
fall, winter and spring months. He is still putting the program together and wasn't
expecting to do it for another few weeks. So we will be his first. Brian says this can be
used for conventional and on the fly (This is the hook). There will also be a video
during the program he will show.
The application of Brian’s program will touch on Stillwater tactics for bass and is not to be missed

SEPT. 19TH PROGRAM for this month is California Heritage Trout - Northern State
Stephen Holtzclaw will share his successful pursuit of the California Heritage Trout Certificate last summer. This journey started the previous summer and covered Northern California from East to West.
Along the way, he will explain the origins of these varied trout species, where to find them, and what are the current threats to these unique subspecies of trout. The Heritage Trout Program is not just about catching small trout in their native habitats, but the journey to new and interesting places along the way and a greater appreciation of these threatened trout and their habitats.
This will be a great program from Steve as I have fished with him many times over the yr's and his knowledge and passion is unsurpassed.
