Tonight we honor the memory of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory.

An extraordinary visionary, teacher and leader who devoted his life to the Jewish people and the world.

Rising from the ashes of the Holocaust, he built a network of Jewish life that reaches every corner of the earth, so that every Jew, anywhere, would know who they are and the heritage they belong to.

He saw the potential in every person, and stopped at nothing to make sure they saw it too. 32 years after his passing, his vision still lives, in the millions he inspired.

The Babka Bake!

This past Monday evening, 17 of us women gathered together to create some delicious babka - most of us for the first time!

As we met on Rosh Chodesh (the first day of the new month of) Tammuz, we discussed the tragic historic events that began in this month and the importance of baseless love and kindness that we need to increase in today, each of us in our own way - that will ripple across the world and be a real part of rebuilding the third holy temple.

Thank you, Rebecca Ferns, for the awesome JWC BALEBUSTA aprons!
Thank you, Liran Manosov, for your help in prepping the details of this event!
Thank you, Dana Nehoran, for sharing the fascinating history of babka with us all!

It was an evening of true friendship and family, and of course, smiles and lots of lots laughter too

Until the next time! Watch this space :)

Book of the week!

Education can be understood as the teaching of texts, knowledge and skills. However, the Lubavitcher Rebbe saw education as encompassing all issues related to the rearing of children and their personal development. Culled from hundreds of sources from the Rebbe’s teachings, this book is a comprehensive view of educating and raising a child from infancy into adulthood.

This book is available for borrowing in Chabad's library.
