Today, we’re remembering Dolly Parton—an extraordinary artist, but also a tireless champion for children, literacy and education.

Yes, Dolly gave us unforgettable music. But her impact reaches far beyond the stage. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, she helped put more than 325 million books into the hands of children around the world, inspiring a love of reading and helping families build a foundation for learning.

Her music may be her legacy, but so are the millions of children who grew up with a book in their hands because of her.

Dolly’s belief in the power of children, books and education will continue to inspire generations to come.

KS PTA Convention is happening now! Today is all about learning, connecting, helping our local units stay strong and in good standing, getting inspired, and doing the important business of our association.

We’re grateful to everyone who showed up today, united in our shared mission to advocate for and support every child across Kansas. KS PTA keeps moving forward for our kids, and we’re glad to be doing it together! 💙

• 9:00 AM–12:00 PM: Good Standing Academy – Get help with your unit's books and ask questions.
• 12:00–1:00 PM: Lunch on your own.
• 1:00–2:00 PM: Givebacks Training – Everything you need to successfully manage your unit.
• 2:00–3:00 PM: Keynote Speaker, General Meeting & Awards.
• 3:00 PM: One-on-one time with Kansas PTA officers.

Kansas PTA is excited to host our annual Convention on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Monticello Library in Shawnee, Kansas. This free event will bring together PTA leaders, officers, and volunteers from across the state for a day of training, networking, and sharing ideas that support children, families, and schools.

While we will not have vendor booths at this year's convention, we are offering organizations the opportunity to include promotional items, brochures, coupons, samples, or other materials in our attendee tote bags for a $25 participation fee.
