We're proud to spotlight our TACKLE team at Delta High School who had the opportunity presented to district teachers during a professional development day. Their focus was practical ways to support students mental health in the classroom.
Teachers are often the first to notice when a student is struggling. A quiet moment, a change in behavior, or a tough morning can say a lot. When educators have the right tools to recognize those signs and respond with care, students feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.
Their session gave teachers strategies to:
•Build strong, trusting connections with students
•Recognize when a child may need extra support
•Respond with patience, empathy, and understanding
At RFS, we believe the best support happens when we work together. We're grateful for school partners who welcome collaboration and share our commitment to students well-being. Every conversation like this strengthens the circle of care around the children we serve.
