Today's Aurora "40 for the 40th" installment:

Through good times and bad over the last 40 years, Aurora has found a way...On January 19, 2003, Aurora withstood a devastating fire that forced the relocation of 13 women and 5 children for a period of 4 months. Fortunately, no one was injured. The recovery was a testament to the resilience of staff, board and residents, and to the generosity of our local community.

• Women’s programming includes intensive case management, life skills, and nutrition education, financial management, Moving Forward (relapse group), etc.
• Additional programming includes GED and access to college classes.
