We hope that everyone’s first week back went amazingly!! Our first meeting will be Wednesday, September 9th at 4:30pm-5:30ish in the TMS cafeteria. If you can’t come right at 4:30, come when you can. We also are going to try and have a zoom audio option available where you can listen in and contribute via chat. We’ll have someone monitoring that option. Zoom link will be shared the day of the meeting.
We know that everyone’s time is valuable. So we will be sharing some different agenda items here and in the GroupMe app (https://groupme.com/join_group/110253101/kNE61HRx) for consideration before the meeting. (We totally get the “this could have been an email” feeling and so we’ll try to send stuff out digitally that doesn’t need to be discussed in person.)
First up are determining roles. Rochelle Pruneski has volunteered to be the President this year (unless some else wants to.) But she needs Everyone’s help!
Take a look at the general descriptions of the roles and comment below or message Rochelle (m.me/rochelle.leosmum) with which role you would like to volunteer for. We will finalize the roles at the first meeting.
* PTO President: Leads the PTO, runs meetings, sets agendas, and helps coordinate officers and committees. Often serves as the main point of contact with school administration.
* PTO Vice President (VP): Supports the president and steps in when needed. Often helps oversee committees, events, or specific initiatives like membership or programming.
* PTO Secretary: Keeps meeting notes, manages official records, and helps with communications like meeting minutes or announcements.
* PTO Treasurer: Manages the PTO’s finances, including budgeting, deposits, reimbursements, and financial reporting at meetings.
* Fundraising Chair: Leads fundraising efforts, from planning campaigns to coordinating volunteers and tracking progress toward goals.
* Event Coordinator: Helps plan and run school events such as family nights, dances, picnics, etc.
