🚨 CASE CLOSED… BUT THE GRATITUDE IS JUST GETTING STARTED! 🚨

Well, Tiffin… YOU DID IT. ❤️

Our very first Sisters in Shelter Freedom for a Cause Jail & Bail Fundraiser is officially in the books, and we are still smiling, laughing, and wondering how we managed to get this many people to willingly participate in our completely fake criminal justice system.
And even though Mother Nature apparently decided our jailbirds needed a little rainwater rehabilitation, we STILL HAD A BLAST!

AND NOW FOR THE PART THAT REALLY MATTERS…

Thanks to YOU, our incredible community, we raised:

$303 in cash donations at the jail
$6,245 through our online fundraiser

🎉 GRAND TOTAL: $6,548! 🎉

We honestly don't have the words to adequately express how humbled and grateful we are.
The proceeds raised will help Sisters in Shelter support survivors of human trafficking and continue our work of education, awareness and prevention in our community.
And now… let's talk about the people who willingly put their reputations and in some cases, their dignity on the line for the cause.

Donna Gross — $100
Apparently raising the barre wasn't quite enough to raise the bail. It's ok, we still love you Donna! Thank you!

Ashlee Jo Schleter — $155
She may have started quietly… but she still helped put some money behind the bars! Thank you for volunteering and helping raise funds, Ashlee Jo!

Lee Wilkinson — $250
Our Mayor discovered that city pride apparently does NOT automatically come with a bail budget. Thank you, Lee, for all you do for our city and for Sisters in Shelter!

Rudi Feasel — $300
And the people of Seneca County apparently decided that Rudi needed some quality jail time. Those extra sentence extensions? PERSONAL. Thank you Rudi for allowing us to have fun with you!

Bruce Wayne — $445
Because apparently even Batman needs a little community assistance to get out of jail. And yes… he actually shaved his head in the jailhouse lobby BEFORE he was arrested. That's dedication to the role. We couldn't have asked for a better jailbird!!! Thank you Batman.... I mean Bruce Wayne, for your constant dedication to supporting Sisters in Shelter!

Sara Riesen — $535
Apparently the real estate professional knows how to move property… and money for a good cause! Thank you for being the very FIRST person to accept our ask of being a volunteer jailbird and for all of your support of Sisters in Shelter!

Angie Bonnell — $1,655
Angie didn't just raise bail.
She basically assembled her own legal defense fund.
Her office even raised enough to purchase a GET OUT OF JAIL FAST PASS because, apparently, they needed her back at work on Monday.
We respect the commitment to workplace productivity. Thank you Angie for your hustle and drive to raise money for Sisters in Shelter!!!

🚨 AND OUR TOP JAILBIRD… DAWN ABRAHAM — $1,858!!! 🚨

DAWN DID IT!

After an absolutely ridiculous amount of support including a very successful Public Embarrassment Fund, Dawn climbed all the way to the top of the leaderboard!

And when we say public embarrassment… WE MEAN PUBLIC EMBARRASSMENT.
Dawn was willing to parade around Downtown Tiffin in some wonderfully questionable and embarrassing items, all in the name of raising money for Sisters in Shelter.
And apparently… YOU PEOPLE ENJOYED IT WAY TOO MUCH.

This event was something completely new for Sisters in Shelter, and we had SO MUCH FUN putting it together and watching our community get involved.

🚨IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN AND THE JAILBIRDS ARE GETTING NERVOUS! 🚨

ONE DAY LEFT TO CHANGE THE BAIL GAME!
Yesterday, we had some suspects sitting comfortably behind bars.
Today? THEY’VE BEEN BUSY.

The MOST UP TO DATE numbers are in, and apparently some of you have decided that “Freedom for a Cause” should also be called “How Much Can We Mess With Our Friends?”

Here’s where things stand heading into the FINAL COUNTDOWN:

🥇 ANGIE BONNELL — $1,000
Angie is STILL sitting at the top of the jailbird pile! And let's talk about that $500 Buy Off the Deputy yesterday....
Apparently, Angie looked at the justice system and said:
“I don't need bail. I need a guy.”

But here's the problem, Angie…

DAWN ABRAHAM IS COMING FOR YOU.

🥈 DAWN ABRAHAM — $955
Dawn went from $880 to $955!
That means she is now just $45 away from tying Angie at $1,000!
And because apparently $45 isn't enough drama for this newsroom…

🚨 ORDER IN THE COURT! 🚨

Sisters in Shelter’s Freedom for a Cause Jail & Bail Court is officially in session… and we have found our JUDGE.
And not just any judge.
We are honored to announce that KEN CLASON will be the esteemed Judge presiding over our highly questionable, completely unofficial, and exceptionally entertaining Freedom for a Cause - Jail & Bail proceedings!

Now, when you are about to put some of Tiffin’s most recognizable citizens behind bars, you need someone who knows a thing or two about the law, the courtroom, and keeping questionable characters in line.
Ken certainly fits the bill.
As a longtime Seneca County Common Pleas Court Magistrate and former Acting Judge of the Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court, he has spent years dealing with matters considerably more serious than deciding whether someone deserves another 25 minutes in our jail.

And Ken isn't just someone who sits behind a bench.

He has demonstrated a real commitment to our community, including helping launch the Seneca County Violence Prevention Task Force, bringing together local agencies and organizations, including Sisters in Shelter, to work collaboratively on violence prevention, awareness, and education.
He's also apparently comfortable taking on a crowd with questionable judgment, having served as a quizmaster for Downtown Tiffin Trivia.

So naturally…

WE THOUGHT, “THIS MAN IS QUALIFIED.”

Because if anyone can determine whether a Jailbird has paid enough bail, whether a sentence should be extended, or whether someone has committed the extraordinarily serious offense of being way too comfortable behind bars…
…it’s Judge Clason.

🚨 JAILHOUSE UPDATE: WE HAVE A BAIL MONEY SITUATION! 🚨

The latest numbers are in, the jailhouse ledger has been checked, and apparently our community has decided that getting these people out of jail is a team sport.

We have officially raised:
💰 $2,400!!! 💰

And the leaderboard is getting VERY interesting.

One jailbird is dangerously close to the $1,000 mark. Another has made a serious move up the ranks. A few are quietly building their escape funds…
…and then there are two distinguished gentlemen who appear to have been completely forgotten.

Let's check in on our criminals, shall we?

🥇 ANGIE BONNELL — $990

ANGIE IS $10 AWAY FROM RAISING $1,000!!!
This woman has apparently decided that a simple jail sentence wasn't enough. She has accumulated bail money, sentence extensions, enough contraband to make the guards nervous, and a $500 Buy Off the Deputy.
And now she's sitting at $990.
TEN.
DOLLARS.
AWAY.
At this point, Angie doesn't need a bail payment.
She needs someone to throw $10 over the wall so we can officially say she hit the four-figure criminal milestone.
Angie's current strategy: Apparently, “Go big or go to jail.”

🥈 DAWN ABRAHAM — $735
DAWN IS MAKING A RUN FOR IT
Dawn has added $320 since our last update and is now sitting at a very respectable $735. She's got warrants. She's got phone calls. She's got sentence extensions. She's got public embarrassment funds.
And, naturally…
SHE HAS BRIBED THE JUDGE.
Apparently, Dawn has decided that if she can't win the legal system…
she'll just financially reorganize it.

She's now only $255 behind Angie.
Angie, you may want to stop celebrating and start checking the rearview mirror.

🥉 SARA RIESEN — $285

Sara remains firmly in third place, and apparently her fundraising strategy is:
“Slow and steady… with a whole lot of bail payments.”
She's collected eight separate bail payments, received a donation, extended her sentence twice AND smuggled contraband.
At this point, Sara has demonstrated one very important skill:
She can negotiate her way into almost anything.
We're just waiting to see if she can negotiate her way OUT.

BRUCE WAYNE — $160
Tiffin's resident mysterious billionaire… allegedly.
Bruce has officially crossed the $150 mark!
He's got bail payments, phone calls, sentence extensions, contraband AND another warrant.
That's quite a criminal résumé.
But here's the real question: Bruce Wayne has access to all kinds of resources… and THIS is the best he can do?!
We're beginning to think Gotham's finances aren't what they used to be.
Somebody may want to check the Bat-Signal for a $90 bail payment.

DONNA GROSS — $100
Donna has officially reached $100!
She's received bail money and even had someone extend her sentence.
Which is especially ironic because Donna spends her days helping people with strength, balance and control…
…and apparently none of those skills are helping her control her jail sentence.
$100 down. $150 to go.
Downtown Tiffin, you've got a job to do.

ASHLEE JO SCHLETER — $105
Ashlee has quietly slipped past the $100 mark!
She's secured multiple bail payments, made a phone call and had contraband smuggled into the facility.
That's not just fundraising.
That's logistics.
Ashlee may not be making the loudest noise on the leaderboard, but she's clearly working her escape plan one transaction at a time.

RUDI FEASEL — $25
Rudi remains at $25.
One sentence extension.
That's it.
No bail.
No phone call.
No contraband.
Just $25 and a dream.
At this point, we're starting to wonder if Rudi's supporters are saving their money because they're afraid that if they bail him out… he'll immediately get on the radio and tell everyone about it.
Rudi, your freedom is currently being held hostage by your fundraising team.

MAYOR LEE WILKINSON — $0
THE MAYOR REMAINS UNFUNDED.
Not a bail payment.
Not a phone call.
Not a sentence extension.
And apparently not even a stale bag of popcorn smuggled through the jailhouse fence. Mayor Lee, we have some questions.
You are literally the Mayor of Tiffin.
Surely someone in this city owes you at least $5.

🚨 JAILHOUSE UPDATE: THE BAIL MONEY IS MOVING… AND SOME OF THESE PEOPLE ARE GETTING NERVOUS! 🚨

The Sisters in Shelter Freedom for a Cause Jail & Bail investigation has officially reached a new level of chaos.
Our accountants have counted the contraband, processed the phone calls, reviewed the bail payments, and confirmed that $1,845 has officially been raised!
That means our jailbirds are getting closer to freedom… but there are still a few suspects who appear to have been completely abandoned by society.

🏆 TODAY'S JAILHOUSE LEADERBOARD 🏆

🥇 ANGIE BONNELL — $790
THE DEPUTY HAS BEEN BOUGHT.
Angie has absolutely taken over the jailhouse. With $790, she has more than doubled her closest competition—and somebody actually paid $500 to BUY OFF THE DEPUTY. At this point, we're not sure whether Angie is trying to get out of jail or take over the jail. She's also accumulated enough contraband to open a small underground prison convenience store.
Angie is currently the one to beat.

🥈 DAWN ABRAHAM — $415
Dawn isn't messing around.
She's been issued warrants, extended her sentence, accepted bail payments AND—perhaps most suspiciously—someone dropped $250 to BRIBE THE JUDGE.
The judge would like everyone to know that he is completely trustworthy and absolutely not for sale.…probably.
Dawn is sitting comfortably in second, but Angie better keep looking over her shoulder.

🥉 SARA RIESEN — $285
Sara has been quietly stacking up the bail money like she's closing deals at the courthouse. She's collected bail payments, had some contraband smuggled in, received a donation AND had her sentence extended twice. Apparently, she's negotiating everything except her release.
Sara is only $130 away from catching Dawn.
The real estate negotiations are officially underway.

BRUCE WAYNE — $150

Bruce is getting some help from the outside, but we're starting to question his strategy.He's received bail money. He's had contraband smuggled in. He's made a phone call. His sentence has been extended. And someone even issued another warrant. Bruce… are you trying to GET OUT of jail or are you furnishing the Batcave? At this rate, we're going to need to start charging him rent.

DONNA GROSS — $100

Donna has officially broken the $100 barrier! She's received bail money, had her sentence extended and apparently has people who are willing to invest in her freedom. But remember… Donna has been charged with Conspiracy to Raise the Barre in Downtown. And apparently she's taking that charge seriously.
The barre is going up. The bail is going up. Downtown is thriving.
Everybody wins.

ASHLEE JO SCHLETER — $80

Ashlee has managed to get $80 into the escape fund. She's made a phone call.
She's had contraband smuggled in. She's collected bail. Honestly, she's doing pretty well for someone who apparently has been conducting her entire criminal operation $10 at a time. Keep it coming, Ashlee Jo!

RUDI FEASEL — $25

Rudi remains at $25. One sentence extension. No bail. No contraband.
No phone call. We're beginning to suspect that the bad dad jokes have finally caught up with him. Someone please send this man some bail money before he starts telling jokes to the other inmates.

AND THEN THERE ARE TWO VERY IMPORTANT CASES…

MAYOR LEE WILKINSON — $0

ZERO. Not $5. Not $10. Not even a suspiciously small bag of prison peanuts.
NOTHING. Mayor, you have a city to run!
We're also told that absolutely nobody has contributed toward smuggling him in a snack. Not even a granola bar.

Tiffin residents, surely someone is willing to invest in municipal leadership.

ROBERT HUNTINGTON — $0

The President of Heidelberg University is also sitting at a very distinguished…
$0.00. Not one bail payment. Not one sentence extension. Not one phone call.
AND NOT ONE SMUGGLED SNACK.
President Huntington has spent his career surrounded by students, faculty, staff and supporters. And apparently every single one of them has collectively decided:
“He'll be fine.” Robert, you've got some explaining to do.

At minimum, somebody needs to get this man a Student Prince snack pack.
Heidelberg… your president needs you.
