“ISTA is a Brooklyn-born collective whose music moves like a family gathering in outer space: garage-rock grit, fuzzed-out disco shimmer, deep-groove psychedelia, and communal energy all colliding on the dance floor. Fronted by Rex Costello and Diona West, the band power-clashes genres into something kinetic and technicolor — equal parts rock show, ritual, and cosmic party.

Formed in 2019, ISTA has grown into a many-limbed live band built around Costello’s vocals, guitar, synths, and percussion, West’s vocals and bass, Oliver Hart’s guitar, Evan Eubanks’ drums, Chloe Golding’s keys, Dan Rico’s rhythm guitar, and a rotating cast of collaborators. Their new album, In Sound To All, produced with Sam Cohen at Slow Fawn, expands the band’s universe without losing the thing that makes ISTA feel alive: an ecstatic, deeply human energy that invites everyone into the fold.“

“SKORTS is a product of creative chemistry and sweet serendipity. For the last few years, the band has been everywhere, riding the wave they’ve swirled up themselves while forging their sound on stages across New York City- —earning the title of Oh My Rockness’s Hardest Working Band in 2024; taking the crown at Our Wicked Lady’s Winter Madness battle-of-the-bands tournament that same year; and catching the eye and ear of radio icon Alisa Ali, who invited them to record a live session for 90.7 WFUV in early 2025. The band––completed by drummer Max Berdik– has also been cutting their teeth on tour, packing bigger and bigger rooms with returning fans and new recruits, all keen to stake their claim and earn the right to say I knew them when.“

“Like the cities’ subway trains, New York rock band Laveda, a well-oiled machine, continues to progress forward, with an intense momentum. Together, Laveda shapes a symphony of sounds that skew from scraping metal and breaking glass, to the gentle kinetic sounds of water running softly through subterranean pipes and train engines humming as they move with focus though the dark underworld. Since Laveda moved from Albany to Queens in 2023, the band has grown in multitudes stylistically, building a new, deeper, and more compelling vision with their third studio album Love, Darla released on Bar None Records in 2025.”

Thank you to everyone who came out to Tompkins Square Park on Mother’s Day ❤️

We’re incredibly grateful to all of the artists, staff, volunteers, fans, friends and supporters who helped make this show possible and special. Huge thanks to and for bringing create a memorable day. One for the books!

Seeing hundreds of people come together for free live music in one of NYC’s most historic public spaces is exactly why we do this.

Next up: June 6th at Maria Hernandez Park with performances by and a very special guest we are announcing on May 24th 🤫
