Our first ever 2 day buckle show this past weekend was one for the books! We couldn’t have done it without so much support from our riders and their family and friends! We had 8 arena records broken, 1 plus time ran with a 9.3 on single stake, and gave away tons of prizes! We ran all 13 events plus 8 setups for those that needed them. We had 28 riders, and some absolutely beautiful weather for June!

In addition our bingo fundraiser, and food booth brought in over $300 for year end awards!

One week away from all the gymkhana fun! We did decide to take off setups for Friday as we just didn’t have enough interest. However we will be offering setups each day in addition to our daily events by request. You are still welcome to come in Friday evening for camping!

We are gearing up for a fantastic weekend in Tehachapi! Just two weeks away! Let’s end the CGA season with a bang! Still need times? Come out for at least 2 chances at all 13 events, may run more if people need them.

We have made the tough decision to cancel our upcoming show for May 31st. Between having a lower than average rider count, as well as being down a board member, the club just couldn’t financially afford to host a show with less than 10 riders.

We are hopeful that our show on June 13th and 14th with tons of great prizes, beautiful buckles, and as many riders as we can get!

We are discussing our May 31st show, who is planning on attending? We need 18 riders to hold the show and with one of our board members outs of town we are short of riders and workers!

I know some of us are sad about missing this weekend! But trust me these prizes are worth joining us on June 13th and 14th, let’s make it the best show yet!

Your hotshots board has been hard at work trying to adjust our schedule to utilize the best weather possible for finishing out our 2025-2026 season!

Our remaining dates for this competition year will be as follows

March 1st
March 22nd
April 25-26th
May 31st
June 13-14!

We need riders! We would love to offer bigger prizes for our two day weekend shows, but we cannot if we do not have enough entries!

We have chosen to cancel the January and February show due to incoming weather reports, as well as some family obligations of our board members.

We are also calling for help! Our board currently consisting of only 3 members is spread thin! We need to add at least 2 board members to help with running this club! We desperately need someone, preferably a non-rider to assist in our booth at shows, as all of our current board members ride and are also sometimes the only judges! Lastly, we need more judges! Anyone with any interest in starting the process please feel free to reach out to any of your board members for information! Rachel Trani, Brittney Blackford, and Jennifer Rodriguez.
