We’re at it again this September 19th 2026!

This will be our last big fundraiser for our Stars, Stripes and Stockings Christmas event for Tehachapi kids and families in need.

Join us at the Tehachapi Mountain VFW Post 5948 this Sept 19th for a totally groovy 70's Party, with music by our very own D.J. Jose!

It will be a night of amazing food, music, dancing, costume contest, raffles with prizes valued up to $100, and a live auction with items valued over $100, including a Louis Vuitton wallet! Our auctioneer will be our very own, amazing vet, Johnny Person! If you've never been to a professional live auction, now is your chance to see a seasoned pro at work, and bid on far out prizes!!!

Our incredible and hard working Auxiliary member and chef Bryan Hockett will be preparing the best of the best and will start cooking in the kitchen at 5 pm.

🍔Handmade Half Pound Cheeseburgers with all the fixings
🍞Grilled Cheese on Sourdough
🌭XL Beef Frank Hot Dogs or Chili Dogs
🧀Chicken or Cheese Quesadillas

We will have all of these delicious options for sale as part of our fundraiser!

The whole family is welcome until 10 pm. 21 years old and over can enjoy the festivities until our wonderful, volunteer bartenders call last call!

On behalf of our entire Auxiliary, we would like to thank Mitch for his amazing donation of $100, and 5150 Dieselz for generously donating $220, as well as everyone who contributed and donated to our Auxiliary Tehachapi Mountain VFW Post 5948 Poppy Fund on Saturday during 5150's outstanding RED event! Thanks to you all, we were able to raise $635 for our Relief fund! This fund goes directly to helping Vets in our local community.

While we may only have a table up a few times a year, you can donate anytime! The Tehachapi Mountain VFW Post 5948 canteen is open 12pm everyday and you can bring any donations in during their hours! Every dollar helps our deserving veterans with their needs.

Members - Join Us for the 4th of July Parade! 🎆🇺🇸

We're excited to be part of the Town's 4th of July festivities and invite all Members, Auxiliary Members, and their families to join us with our parade float!

🕘 Parade starts at 9:00 AM on July 4th

⭐ Theme: American Superheroes ⭐

Military uniforms absolutely qualify, but we also encourage everyone to have some fun with the theme! Whether you're Captain America, the Statue of Liberty, Rosie the Riveter, Uncle Sam, or your own patriotic superhero, we want YOU to be part of the celebration!

Please remember to keep all costumes family-friendly.
