We were thrilled to support Aiyana, our Young Miss Tehachapi, along with the other Tehachapi Queens at the AV Royalty Tiny Young Teen Bingo Fundraiser! 💕👑

Tack of the Town donated a fun-filled raffle basket packed with horse-themed goodies, a TOTT drinker, and a $25 gift card to Kern County’s ONLY used tack store! 🐴🎟️🛍️

We love having the opportunity to support these amazing young ladies as they represent our community, give back, and make a difference! 💗 We’re especially proud to cheer on our very own Aiyana and all of the Tehachapi Queens!

Amanda who is the founder of Tack of the Town and Tehachapi Valley Horse Rescue is recovering from an accident Sunday. Any donations are truly appreciated!

🆘 Can you help with donations? 🆘 Our friend Amanda , who runs an old horse sanctuary “Tehechapi Horse Rescue” with 25+ oldies up the hill from us, had a bad horse accident yesterday where she was run over by a horse and ended up with a pretty severe head trauma (just like Vera 2-1/2 months ago! What a copy cat! -just kidding!)

Amanda is still hospitalized with a brain bleed and severe concussion. She will be out of commission for some time.

Can you help her, just like you helped us when Vera got hurt?

We are closed today (Saturday July 4th, 2026) in order to celebrate with family and friends. Rest assured we are still working hard at the ranch to provide for the 32 horses that call TVHR home, even on a holiday!

Congratulations to Jaina riding Dillon on a successful first Dressage Schooling Show! She received a score of 72 on her Intro test! She and her family came into the store and found this gorgeous Pikeur dress coat and some other goodies to complete her ensemble at Tack of the Town!

Look at our young model Adeline! She and her family scored a gorgeous custom western pleasure outfit for $45 here at Tack of the Town! The set came complete with top, vest, belt, trousers and show chaps! They completed the look with a pair of black suede boots for $8! Good luck at the fair this fall Adeline!

🏆🐴 Congratulations to Sofia (and Taylor on the right)! 🐴🏆

We want to give a huge shout-out to Sofia, our amazing Thursday volunteer here at Tack of the Town! This past weekend, Sofia and her Arabian horse, Mishief, rode their way to the top, winning their division in the Hotshot Riders Gymkhana Series at Yellow Rose Ranch in Tehachapi! 🎉

When she’s not racing through patterns and collecting ribbons, Sofia spends her Thursdays helping keep our store organized, tidy, and welcoming for everyone who walks through the door. Her hard work, positive attitude, and dedication never go unnoticed.

We are so proud of all that Sofia has accomplished and grateful to have her as part of the Tack of the Town family. Join us in congratulating Sofia and Mishief on an incredible achievement! 🎀🏅
