We had SUCH a great time at Green Street Get Down! Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, stopped by, or helped make the day so much fun.

And if you’ve ever thought about getting involved with Love Tehachapi — this is your invitation!

Maybe you joined us at Green Street Get Down, volunteered with us in the past, or you’ve just seen us popping up here and there on Facebook. Come join us! Families are welcome, bring the kids, bring a friend — if you love Tehachapi and want to serve our community, there’s a place for you.

The only requirement to join? A pulse. 😂

That’s right, people. I said it. CHRISTMAS!

Planning is underway for Hometown Christmas, and we need our community’s help filling our Little Elves Market!

The Little Elves Market gives local children the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts for their families completely...

FREE. Yep — FREE!

We’re looking for NEW donated items from local crafters, businesses, makers, and creative people all over Tehachapi. Do you crochet? Make jewelry? Create sun catchers? Have something perfect for moms, dads, grandparents, brothers or sisters? Maybe you’re a local business that would love to donate some goodies. We would LOVE to have you partner with us!

Every donated item becomes a gift a child gets to personally choose for someone they love. ❤️

So Tehachapi, start crafting, creating and gathering those donations! And stay tuned — our Amazon Wish List is coming soon for anyone who wants an easy way to help us stock the market.

We had such an incredible time at the Green Street Get Down, and we couldn’t have done it without this amazing community!

A HUGE thank you to the City of Tehachapi, CA Government for hosting such a wonderful event and creating opportunities for our community to come together.

And an even bigger MEGA THANK YOU to ALL of our Love Tehachapi volunteers! You showed up, jumped in, served hard, and made this event possible. We are so grateful for every single one of you!

We’re already looking forward to what’s next...

Love Tehachapi Needs Volunteers!

Want to be part of one of Tehachapi’s favorite summer evenings?

Join us as a volunteer for Green Street Get Down on Saturday, August 15th from 6:00–10:00 PM in Downtown Tehachapi!

We’re looking for friendly community members to help with:
✅ Greeting and directing foot traffic
🍻 Checking IDs in the Beer Garden
❤️ Serving our community and helping make the evening a success.

Volunteer shifts are just 3–4 hours, so you’ll still have time to enjoy the event while making a real difference.

If you enjoy meeting people, giving back, and being part of a fun community event, we’d love to have you on the team!

Can we give a big round of applause to the Save Mart Team! 🛒❤️

It takes a village to make an event like One Cart at a Time possible, and while our volunteers were out helping shoppers and spreading kindness during One Cart at a Time, the team at Save Mart was behind the scenes making sure everyone felt welcomed and appreciated.
Not only did they graciously host our event, but they also went the extra mile by baking cookies and providing water for all the participants throughout the day. Those small gestures meant so much and perfectly reflected the spirit of generosity that made this event such a success.
The Save Mart team didn't just allow us to hold an event at their store—they embraced it. Their enthusiasm, support, and partnership helped create an atmosphere of kindness that shoppers, volunteers, and staff all got to experience together.
Community events like this happen because businesses choose to invest in their communities, and we're incredibly grateful that Save Mart continues to do just that.
To the entire Save Mart team: thank you for your hospitality, your partnership, the delicious cookies, the cold water, and for helping us make a difference one cart at a time. ❤️

❤️ TEHACHAPI, YOU SHOWED UP! ❤️
Wow... what a day!
The One Cart at a Time event was nothing short of incredible, and once again, Tehachapi proved what makes this community so special.
Our volunteers showed up in a BIG way bringing smiles, energy, kindness, and a willingness to help wherever needed. Throughout the day, volunteers assisted shoppers, returned carts, handed out gift cards, and helped spread a little extra joy in the checkout lines.
And the community response? Absolutely amazing! We heard countless "thank you's," saw surprised smiles, and received so much positive feedback from shoppers who were genuinely touched by the kindness they experienced. It was a reminder that sometimes the smallest gestures can make the biggest impact.
To everyone who volunteered, donated, supported, shared our posts, or simply stopped to chat with our team, thank you. Events like this don't happen without a community that believes in taking care of one another.
Tehachapi, you didn't just show up, you showed out. You reminded us that generosity is alive and well, and that when neighbors come together, incredible things happen.
