🐶Adoption Update🐶
Lilly (Lillith) couldn't be a better fit for our family. She and our terrier mix, Kody, have really hit it off, and if they aren't wrestling or playing tug-of-war inside, they are romping after each other outside. Kody was very lost after we had to say goodbye to his two older packmates earlier this summer, and Lilly has brought him back to his old self. She has made herself right at home and not had a single accident inside, sleeps well in her crate, knows "sit" and is learning "stay". We're also working on walkies without pulling, and she's getting it. She still has some puppy in her - and some hilarious clumsiness that comes with it - and she is simply a joy to have in the family. She doesn't lay down, she just drops to the floor, and daddy's belly - not lap, belly - is her favorite place to sit when the game is on TV. She makes us laugh every morning when we give her her Milk Bone biscuit - she runs out the dog door into the back yard and throws it in the air, chases it, throws it again, maybe a couple more throws, and THEN eats it. Thanks again to all the folks at SEBR who helped connect us with Lilly!

🐶Adoption Update🐶
We named her Luci (Faith lV) She is a happy girl and is coming out of her shell. .. She saw our primary Vet and got a good report.. We love her dearly and glad she is part of our family. We had to limit her activity but are gradually increasing her walks. Thank you for checking in. She has a special place in our hearts.

🐶Adoption Update🐶
Laurel is doing quite well.
Laurel's first veterinarian check was disheartening, because it was discovered that she had a third internal parasite (tapeworms) along with the others that we were told about and needed to be treated again. She was still on the Prednisone for the heartworms as well. She wasn't full of energy due to the internal parasites so that was condusive to keeping her quiet during the month that it took for the heartworm problem to abate a bit. We had already fallen in love with her, and decided that it was best for her to share our home since we both work from home and could accomodate her need for rest and quiet.
In the past few days, Laurel has seemed to find more energy. She went on an adventure to visit her cousin dogs (all four of them) today and did very well even though she was the smallest of them all.
She has claimed all of the furniture in our home. When we try to move her over, she becomes a limp piece of pasta so we have to roll her away to have space for ourselves.
Laurel is extremely intelligent and has taken very well to training. She is enthusiastic about pleasing whomever is handling her (Tim or myself). We have only left her for a couple of hours in her crate at a time because we are home most of the time, or only one of us leaves for errands. She has behaved beautifully if we crate her and we come home to a quiet, satisfied dog because she has consumed all of the peanutbutter and kibble frozen into the Kong. (We thank Mike for that suggestion).
Laurel has successfully made friends with a lot of the neighbors and other dogs in the complex. She still has an issue with going outside, but once she's outside she enjoys sniffing and rolling in the grass.
Laurel has melted the hearts of the whole family who make a point of coming over to visit her from time to time. She greets them with a story (she's quite vocal although we've never heard her bark yet except in her sleep). Laurel fits in beautifully with our lifestyle and is taking well to the introduction of more of the grounds near us. She is quite affectionate and lets us know when she needs a little more petting.
We are so pleased to have Miss Laurel with us, and Dr. Hank her veterinarian is quite taken with her and provides the best of care.

🐶Adoption Update🐶
Molly (Lolly) continues to trust me more each day. She sat close to me once but prefers her space when lying down. She loves her crate and i never close the door. We go to bed at the same time and she wakes me up, looking up at me with her adorable face, ready for our morning routine. She sits in the bathroom with me. She must wonder what in the world…She’s a great walking/Beagling buddy. We aim for 8,000 steps/day, broken into two long and two short walks. She still doesn’t bark except when she saw a bunny. She actually did a Beagle howl/bark-not sure how to describe it. I took her the ACE hardware store with me. People in there are pet friendly and thought she was adorable. I want to introduce her to new people and places as she feels more confident. She is often greeted by dogs around the apartment. She isn’t bothered by dogs. She can’t be bothered with playing when sniffing the ground is more important to her.
I’m still amazed at how I was blessed with such a perfect furry friend.

Waffles has made himself at home. We are enjoying his beagle personality. He wants to be with me 24/7, he brings joy to our family!

Lenny (Tadpole) is doing GREAT. He charmed his way into our hearts including our other dog, Penny! He has learned our routines. He is full of energy, and Lenny and Penny play and cuddle.
