This morning, Brother Andrews had the honor of serving as a guest reader for the amazing scholars of Freedom School at Florida State University, a nationally recognized summer literacy program that helps students strengthen their reading skills, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for learning while school is out for the summer.
Literacy opens doors to endless possibilities. Encouraging children to read throughout the summer helps maintain the progress they made during the school year, expands their imagination, strengthens critical thinking skills, and prepares them for continued academic success.
Thank you to the Freedom School staff, scholars, and volunteers for the warm welcome and for the important work they do each summer. Every opportunity to place a book in the hands of a child is an opportunity to help shape a brighter future.
