The Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion of high professional standards for criminal justice agencies and criminal justice personnel. The keystone for FCCD is its educational programs which are designed to foster an interchange of information and training between the professionals in Law Enforcement, the Courts, Corrections,

Probation and Parole, Juvenile Justice and Interested Citizens. FCCD is the Primary Organization in the State of Florida for bringing the various Criminal Justice Disciplines together to help recognize and develop strategies to solve our great state’s Criminal Justice needs. FCCD traces its history back to 1935 through an antecedent organization, the Florida Probation Association. The council was chartered by Secretary of State in 1964 as a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high standards for criminal justice agencies and criminal justice personnel. Through the years, FCCD has continued to focus the attention of its members and the citizens of Florida upon the needs of the criminal justice system. The emphasis at the state and local level has been on a variety of challenges facing the state in the criminal justice area.
