It's back! National Night Out hosted by the Coweta Police Department is Oct. 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Bring the whole family to experience live music, games, explore first responder vehicles, meet the men and women working together to keep our community safe, and enjoy some free hot dogs and hamburgers, too! The event will be hosted at Word of Life Church at 26858 E. 121st St. S. in Coweta.

💜 A Letter to a Survivor: Your Words Matter

Sometimes, a simple message of kindness can remind someone that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Help In Crisis invites you to write a letter of hope and encouragement to a survivor.

💌 Here's how to participate:

- Write a short, uplifting message to a survivor.
- Handwrite it, type it, or add a little creativity!
- Keep your message general and leave off your name.
- Email your letter to [email protected] with the subject "Letter to a Survivor."

You don't need perfect words. Just a message from the heart.

Together, we can remind survivors that their community cares and that they deserve safety, dignity, and hope.

Honoring frontline responders who bring dignity and care to survivors.

This award is presented to a s*xual assault advocate or SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) whose practice exemplifies compassionate, survivor-centered care. In the tradition of Judy Marzullo, the honoree offers nonjudgmental support, respects survivors' choices, and acts as a fierce protector of their rights, safety, and dignity.
