We are hosting a Halloween Bash for ALL THS & SHS students on 10/27 from 6-8 pm. This is a free event for high schoolers only.

The lower gym will be open for basketball, and the upper gym will have Halloween games, pumpkin painting, a DJ, and more! Dinner and snacks will be provided. Students are encouraged to dress up and join us for a night of fun! 🎃

Thank you to the Boys & Girls Club of Nowata for hosting our Keystone teens at their Annual Torch Club Rally!

It was a great opportunity for them to meet other Keystone Clubs and Torch Clubs across Oklahoma. We left feeling inspired and ready to work on our next community service project!

We’re excited to recognize TWO amazing Staff of the Month for October! 💙

Debbie Peterson – Tahlequah High School Unit�Debbie was nominated for the many ways she supports both students and staff. She gives thoughtful feedback, always has great ideas, and is wonderful with students. Sierra DeMoss shared that even after a bad day, Debbie shows grace and patience while continuing to hold high expectations for her students. She was also described as “amazing to work with in every way.”

Patty Center – Tenkiller Unit�Patty was nominated for her willingness to go above and beyond to get whatever needs to be done accomplished. She works with older students during Power Hour to help them catch up on missing assignments and is always willing to step in and help wherever needed. As Joleta Cone shared, “She is always willing to do whatever needs to be done.”

Please join us in congratulating Debbie and Patty on being our October Staff of the Month! We appreciate all you do for our Club kids and our team! 💙

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Emmie and celebrating all she brings to the Boys & Girls Club! Emmie has been part of our Club for 6 years, starting as a YDP at our Tenkiller site before serving as a VISTA in the office for two years.
We’re so thankful for her dedication to our teens and youth! 💙

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our amazing Unit Directors!

Meet Michele Gariepy, our Norwood Unit Director! Michele has worked with the Boys & Girls Club off and on for many years and is now entering her third year as Unit Director at Norwood. Before becoming a Unit Director, she worked as a Youth Leader with Pre-K through 2nd grade.
Michele loves building meaningful relationships with the kids and creating a safe, positive environment where they can be themselves.
Outside of work, Michele enjoys shopping and would love to travel to Italy to experience the food and culture. Her favorite food? Watson’s ribeye!

🎂 Today is also Michele’s birthday! Help us wish her a very Happy Birthday and thank her for all she does for the kids and families at Norwood!

Our CEO had the pleasure of attending the send off for Jonathan, National Military Youth of the Year from Tinker Air Force Base’s Boys & Girls Club’s Tinker Youth Programs last night. Jonathan received a citation from the Oklahoma legislature presented by Oklahoma Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs Director Courtney Yunt. After winning for the local Military Youth of the Year, Jonathan went on to win State, Regional, and National Military Youth of the Year! Jonathan now leaves for NYC to compete for the honor of becoming the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Youth of the Year next week. We want to wish Jonathan the best of luck from the Boys & Girls Club of Tahlequah!
