CTAP and SRAE had a visit from Cherokee Nation National Treasure Tommy Wildcat this morning. After telling us about he gathers North American rivercane, Tommy showed us his beautifully crafted blowguns. We couldn't resist the opportunity to purchase one from him to show to the students of our programs. We look forward to working with Tommy by having him out for a cultural presentation with our students. Wado, Tommy!

At CTAP, we believe that strong families are the foundation of a thriving community. This Thanksgiving, we’re honored to support local families by providing Thanksgiving dinner baskets to youth in need.

Through the generosity of our donors, we’ve selected a student from each school we’ve served this fall to receive a special basket. We hope these baskets will inspire quality family time and create lasting memories.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this initiative. Your support makes a real difference in the lives of our youth.

Quick! Who's the first positive adult person that pops into your mind?

->Would you consider this person someone you could tell your secrets to?
->Are they old-old or young-old?
->Do they listen to what you're saying with or without judgement?
->Do they offer their advise?
->Would they tell you the truth, or just what you want to hear?
->Do you see them everyday?
->Can you reach them at anytime?

All of these questions are something to consider when figuring out who your trusted adult could be! A trusted adult is someone who makes you feel safe, heard, and supported. They're there to listen, offer advice, and help you through tough times.
