We are beyond excited to congratulate Norah Shearer on being elected as the new Illinois YMCA Swimming Athlete State Representative! 🎉🏊‍♀️

This is an incredible achievement and an important leadership role. As a representative, Norah will help coordinate and support YMCA swim teams across Illinois while serving as the voice for YMCA swimmers at the national level—communicating directly with the national YMCA Swimming Committee.

Norah’s dedication, leadership, and passion for the sport make her the perfect choice for this role. We are so very proud of her and know she will represent the Big Dogs with excellence, integrity, and heart. 💙🐶

💦🐾 BIG DOGS SWIMATHON 2026 — WHAT. A. DAY! 🐾💦

The 2026 Swimathon was today and our Big Dogs showed up BIG!

🏊‍♂️ 21 swimmers participated
🔥 1,117 laps swam
📏 33.85 MILES in the pool — absolutely incredible!!

We are SO proud of our swimmers for their hard work and determination. 💙

BIG DOGS HELPING BIG DOGS – URGENT!
LESS THAN TWO WEEKS LEFT TO DONATE: Giving back is an important part of who we are as a team. This season, for our third year in a row, our athletes and families are coming together to support The Barn on Baseline Animal Shelter/Adoption Center collecting much-needed items for dogs/cats in their care.

Just like in the pool, we believe in showing heart, teamwork, and compassion beyond our sport. By helping provide comfort and care to animals in need, our team is proud to make a positive impact in our community and truly live out the spirit of being Big Dogs—both in and out of the water.
