🌱Healthy Soil = Healthy Streams💧
Many of DeKalb County's watershed plans identify soil erosion and nutrient runoff as key resource concerns. Conservation practices such as: ✔ Cover crops ✔ Reduced tillage ✔ Riparian buffers ✔ Wetland restoration - help keep soil and nutrients where they belong - on the field and out of our waterways. Farmers throughout DeKalb County are implementing conservation practices, like this no till soybean field, that improve soil health while protecting local streams and rivers. Every acre managed with conservation in mind helps improve the health of our watershed.
