Thanks to everyone who participated in our Landscaping for Water Quality Workshop & Expo on Saturday, May 30. There's not a better time to look for signs of erosion than when it's raining! More than 25 participants joined us to learn practical ways to reduce runoff on their properties and protect water quality.

Special thanks to Nisa Marks, Odd Duck LLC, and the following exhibitors who helped make it a great event: NH LAKES, Gradient Landscape Architects, Complete Land Organics/Belknap Landscaping and LSPA Board members Stu Greer & Lynn Arnold who shared examples of what they have done on their properties to protect water quality.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped out at High Pine Lane on Little Lake Sunapee today. This project will reduce beach erosion through the installation of rain gardens, water bars, and swales. Thank you to the High Pine Lane Association for collaborating on this project!

Boat Launch Closure - Georges Mills Harbor
June 4, 2026: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
(Times are approximate).

Announcement from the Town of Sunapee:

The Lake Sunapee Protective Association recently conducted a visual inspection near the Georges Mills boat ramp for signs of curly-leaf pondweed and, fortunately, none was observed during that survey.

As a precautionary measure, trained divers will return to conduct an additional underwater inspection on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

To allow the divers to safely complete their work, the Georges Mills boat ramp will be temporarily closed for approximately 2 hours during the inspection.

We appreciate the public's patience and cooperation while this important preventative inspection is completed.
