On Tuesday, September 1st at 4pm, join Lake Sunapee Protective Association (LSPA) Executive Director and Watershed Committee members for a presentation and discussion about the issues facing water quality in the Lake Sunapee Watershed. Featuring scientific perspectives and personal stewardship stories, this presentation will inspire practical ways everyone can help maintain the environment of the Lake Sunapee Watershed for generations to come.

Collaborative action is essential to our work!
Thank you Rep. Karen Ebel, NH LAKES, Little Sunapee Protective Association for your commitment to protecting our lakes.
Check out NH Lakes “Vote like Your Lakes Depend on it” campaign, and help us spread the word that protecting our lakes should be a bipartisan issue! Our communities and local economies depend on it!

In an era of persistent budget cuts and underfunding of our government agencies, like the NH Department of Environmental Services, the role of nonprofits could not be more vital.
In doing our day-to-day work down in the trenches at the State House, we need the passion, advocacy and factual testimony of advocates to do the job right.
As the lakes we love face increasing threats, from cyanobacteria to invasive species to polluting stormwater, the lake associations have had to bear an increasingly heavy load to ensure the lakes we love remain healthy. What would the Granite State be without its lakes?
Thank goodness for NH LAKES, Lake Sunapee Protective Association, Little Sunapee Protective Association and Pleasant Lake Protective Association and so many more for all their efforts. Speaking for myself, I couldn’t do the job I do without their diligence and input. Honored to stand with and grateful for the leadership of Andrea LaMoreaux (ED-NH Lakes), Elizabeth Harper (ED-LSPA) and Deb Hoover (Little Sunapee Protective Association (former chair) and NH Lakes board member).

A huge THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who planted over 300 native plants at Georges Mills today!

Your efforts are an important part of the shoreline restoration project and will help establish a vegetated buffer that reduces erosion, manages stormwater runoff, and helps protect water quality.

The completed shoreline stabilization project includes a low stone wall, vegetated buffer, and infiltration steps designed to protect the Town’s public waterfront and maintain access to the boat launch and adjacent shoreline.

This project was completed in partnership with the Town of Sunapee, New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES), NH LAKES, and LSPA. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this important project possible!

The Boat Parade Line-Up ⚓ Thank you to all the boat owners for participating in today's parade!

Antique boats will be on display in Sunapee Harbor throughout the morning, followed by the parade with the route starting in Gardner Bay. The boats will head south past Dewey Beach, enter Sunapee Harbor around 1:15 pm, then travel along the shoreline toward Birch Point, passing Fishers Bay and Oakledge, the State Beach and ending in Newbury Harbor.
