Hi All,

Just a reminder that we are back to our usual schedule. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, September 2, starting at 6:30 PM. We are back at the Nitty Gritty in Sun Prairie, 315 E Linnerud Drive.

Since I cannot find my list of topics for our meetings (I had issues with my emails recently where I lost a bunch of older ones), the topic will be open mike where you perform whatever you want.

With heavy hearts we say goodbye to the world's greatest card magician who passed away yesterday, Juan Tamariz. Between his effects and his theory of magic, he influenced and taught literally countless magicians. His students have become masters of the craft. It is difficult to find any magician who has not been touched by him in some way. Farewell Maestro.

I'm sorry to do this but the magic barbecue at my house on Saturday August 22nd is canceled. A family member is seriously ill. We are involved with their care and right now need to devote our time and energy to that. All members have been emailed the notice of cancellation.

We still want to have the barbecue and will schedule the BBQ for some time in September. Once we are able to commit to a date we will get the information out to everyone.

Just a reminder that our meeting for August will be the Magic BBQ at Mark Pepelea's house on Saturday, August 22nd, starting at noon. Bring something to perform and let's have some fun. All three Wisconsin based International Brotherhood of Magician Rings were represented at the 97th annual Society of American Magicians Convention in Appleton, Wisconsin! Ring 31 - Madison, Ring 41 - Milwaukee and Ring 398 - Fox Valley.

Please note that the Ring meeting for July is cancelled. The next meeting will be the BBQ at Mark and Lisa's house on August 22nd. An email invitation has been already sent to members.

The reason for the cancellation is that a number of members will be at the SAM convention. Also none of the club's officers can make the July meeting on the scheduled date.

Hope to see you at the BBQ or at the September meeting.
