Join us for our eleventh annual December concerts of choral music woven with readings; a musical meditation on a theme. This year’s we consider what it means to belong, how we find community, and how the American social experiment was conceived. We pair contemporary American Art music with the Southern Gospel and vocal Bluegrass traditions, interjected with texts by Thomas Paine, Alexander Hamilton, James Baldwin, Robert Bridges, Nelson Mandela, and others. The program is gorgeous and captivating, providing space for resilience, strength, beauty, and idealism.

Works by Rebecca Dale, Michael Gilbertson, Shawn Kirchner, David Lang, J. David Moore, Emily Miller, Nico Muhly, Moira Smiley, and Sarah Kirkland Snider.
