Looking for a creative way to spend your Wednesday morning?

Join us for Art Cooperative, our weekly Pop-Up Program, every Wednesday from 10am – 12pm at Explore Children's Museum!

Tomorrow, children and caregivers will have the opportunity to explore Buddha Boards - special art boards that allow you to paint and draw using only water! As the water slowly evaporates, the artwork gently fades away, creating a fresh canvas for a new masterpiece. It's a fun way to experiment with art, creativity, and self-expression while embracing the joy of the creative process.

Explore Children's Museum offers community memberships to local organizations such as RISE Wisconsin, Gio's Garden, and Catalyst for Change, helping ensure that the children and families they serve can visit the museum to learn, play, and explore at no cost.

We believe every child deserves opportunities for hands-on learning, imagination, and discovery. By partnering with organizations that support families in our community, we're able to help make those opportunities more accessible to everyone.

It takes a village to raise children, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of so many families' villages. From parents and caregivers to educators, service providers, and community partners, we are stronger when we work together to support children as they grow, learn, and thrive.

Join us for our June Day of Play at Explore Children's Museum!

🌟 Thursday June 18
🌟 FREE admission for everyone
🌟 Extended hours - we're open until 7pm!

Bring the whole family (and friends!) for a day filled with hands-on learning, imaginative play, creativity, and exploration. Whether you're visiting for the first time or are one of our regular explorers, Day of Play is the perfect opportunity to experience all the fun the museum has to offer at no cost.

Get ready to get WILD, MESSY, and COLORFUL!

Our annual Color Splash Party is back at the end of Kids Fest, beginning at 12:30pm on Saturday July 25 at the Sun Prairie Dream Park! Kids Fest is free to enjoy, but the Color Splash Party is the one part of the event that requires a purchased ticket.

At the Color Splash Party, participants throw “Splash Packs” - small muslin bags filled with colorful chalk powder - to cover each other in beautiful hues of color! Each Splash Pack can be thrown 10–15 times for maximum colorful fun.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale June 1–July 20, and buying early saves you money!

Children’s pre-sale ticket: $10
Includes entrance to the Color Splash Party, 3 Splash Packs, sunglasses, and a white event tee.

Adult pre-sale ticket: $5
Includes entrance to the Color Splash Party, 3 Splash Packs, and sunglasses.
Adult event tees may be purchased for an additional $5.

T-shirt size is guaranteed when tickets are purchased before July 9, 2026.

A few colorful reminders:
🌈 Children ages 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
🌈 Sunglasses should be worn to help protect eyes.
🌈 The colorful chalk is non-toxic, environmentally safe, and washes off with soap and water.

Join us for STEM Time at Explore Children's Museum every Thursday from 2-4pm. Children and families can dive into hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities designed to spark curiosity and inspire learning through play.

This Thursday: Fizzy Fun!
We'll be conducting an exciting science experiment full of bubbling, fizzing reactions that are sure to delight young scientists.

Looking for a creative way to spend your Wednesday morning?

Join us for Art Cooperative at Explore Children's Museum every Wednesday from 10am–12pm! Children and caregivers can explore a new art project each week, create together, and connect with other families in a welcoming, hands-on environment.
