Today was a very special day as we sent several of our board members to volunteer at and attend the UW-Madison Department of Human Oncology's Teeing Off Against Brain Cancer fundraiser. We're honored to present our donation from this year's Cupcheck Cancer tournament, and to give our support and time to this amazing event.

We heard heartfelt and inspiring stories from patients and family that we will carry through the year with us. Thank you for letting us be part of this moment.

We can't wait to get out today and play some games at the UW-Madison Department of Human Oncology Teeing Off Against Brain Cancer fundraiser!
We'll be presenting our donation of $13,800 to the department and look forward to spending time hearing from others about the efforts UW Oncology has made over the last year to improve treatment and outcomes for brain cancer patients and families. 🏌🏼‍♂️⛳

Our premiere fundraiser, Cupcheck Cancer, has now achieved its goal of increasing the number of teams from 12 last year, to 18 this year! We're excited to see continued growth and support for this one of a kind event, meaning more dollars to help fund brain cancer research and support!

It's an Easter Miracle!! 🐇 We've reached our goal of expanding to 18 teams this year!!! Thank you to everyone signed up to play!! We'll be sending out tournament schedule information and other details as we get closer to the end of April.

Our premiere event of the year, the Cupcheck Cancer tournament, is now open for teams to register for!!!

This event sends money directly to cancer research and support at the UW Neuro Oncology Department at UW Madison.

Today is World Cancer Day – a global reminder that cancer affects millions of people and families worldwide. At Live For KWags, this day reinforces why our work matters.

Since our founding, we've been dedicated to funding brain cancer research through our partnership with UW Neuro-Oncology. Through our annual Cupcheck Cancer hockey tournament and community support, we've steadily increased our contributions to researchers working on treatments and potential cures for brain cancer.

World Cancer Day's theme focuses on closing the care gap and ensuring everyone has access to quality cancer care. While we focus specifically on brain cancer research funding, we're part of a larger community working toward the same goal – a world where cancer is no longer a life-threatening diagnosis.

Every dollar raised, every tournament participant, and every supporter helps advance research that could change outcomes for patients and families facing brain cancer. Our work continues year-round, but today we're reminded that we're not alone in this fight.

Registration for the 2026 Badger Challenge is officially open today!! Our CEO Cole Simmons is signed up to ride the 25k. We welcome any and all of our supporters to sign up and ride alongside the Live For KWags team and help us continue raising critical funds for cancer research. 100% of participant raised dollars through the Badger Challenge goes directly to the most promising UW cancer initiatives both in the laboratory and clinic setting. Since 2016, Badger Challenge has raised over $3.6 million. Let's help them achieve their goals while doing the same for ours!!!

We're proud to be out and supporting the Badger Challenge today!! Such an incredible event. There's still time to contribute as well. Every dollar goes DIRECTLY to research and treatment. We heard stories from people who were treated twenty years ago vs ten years ago and the impact fundraising has had on generating new therapies and treatment that are less invasive with less negative side effects is outstanding.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of attending the inaugural Badger Challenge Champion Reception. It was an honor to hear the profound stories of patients and survivors. We also got a first hand look at some revolutionary, one of a kind proton treatment machinery at the new UW Health Eastpark Medical Center. We are very proud to be supporters of this amazing event and so lucky that these truly life changing treatments are right in our own backyard.
