Teachers know just how powerful a great idea can be. And when families with ties to education choose to support other educators, that impact can go even further! 💡🍎

Thank you to the Butler, Downing, McCormick and Sheehan families for supporting SPEF and helping turn educators’ ideas into opportunities for Sun Prairie students. 💙

BREAKING NEWS: Future broadcasters are on the air!

Today SPEF Grant in Action visit took us behind the scenes at Central Heights Middle School, where students are putting their broadcasting skills to work.

From delivering the weather forecast and reporting school news to conducting on-site interviews, these students are creating their very own newscasts using real broadcasting equipment funded by SPEF!

A special thanks to the incredible educator collaboration between Mindy Grant (Central Heights Middle School), Erin Traub (Patrick Marsh Middle School SCO), and Angela Larkins (Prairie View Middle School) who submitted a grant so that all THREE Sun Prairie middle schools have access to there own equipment,

Don't just take our word for it! Check out Husky Highlights newscast (start in 2:35) where they gave a special SPEF a shout-out!

News you will definitely love watching! 💙💚

The exhibits showcased at Keys to the Future highlighted the hands-on learning experiences and creative opportunities that the event helps support for Sun Prairie students! 🔑💡

SPEF is grateful for community partners like Hallman Lindsay Paints, JH Findorff, and TRICOR Insurance, who help make these meaningful learning experiences possible. 💚

Congrats to Iileen Thwing at Westside Elementary School, SPASD who is SPEF's first GOLDEN TICKET winner! Finding her ticket inside the notepads we handed out to all Sun Prairie Schools educators this year, got her breakfast and drinks for her and 9 of her coworkers from Beans n Cream Bakehouse this morning!

The best part is I got to thank them for all they do to support and uplift kids every day!

Who will be our next golden ticket winner? Have you checked your notepads SPASD?

Some traditions have been around for years. Others are just getting started! 🌱 Today we are with our Ignite Impact students, continuing a new SPEF tradition of giving students a voice in how we invest in their schools and community. 🏫💡 We have a feeling this tradition is going to stick. 🤝

A stunning new sensory garden is blooming at CH Bird Elementary School in memory of Ruth Johnson, a beloved kindergarten teacher. Thanks to another Bird Elementary educator Jenn Divney, who turned an idea into a SPEF grant, students now have a special place to explore and learn.

Tonight, our community comes together at Keys to the Future, SPEF’s biggest fundraiser of the year, to help make the next educator ideas possible. Whether you’re joining us tonight or cheering us on from home, we hope you will join us in helping us unlock what’s next!
