Popcorn, parade fun, and a whole lot of community spirit! 🎉🌽

SPEF had a blast at the Cornfest Parade yesterday, handing out 600 bags of popcorn 🍿 and spreading a little SPEF spirit throughout Sun Prairie! A huge thank you to the amazing volunteers who helped fill all those popcorn bags and to everyone who came out to walk, wave, and celebrate with us! 🙌

Great communities are built by people who choose to give back. 🤝

At 90 years young, George Conom has spent a lifetime investing in Sun Prairie students. First as an SPASD economics teacher where he inspired thousands of students and laid the groundwork for what is now Reality Rocks, and now through his Legacy Fund at SPEF. 🌟🎉

His vision and generosity continue to create opportunities that will impact students for generations to come.

Making Sports More Inclusive one grant at a time! 🙌

Thanks to a SPEF grant, Central Heights Middle School students had the opportunity to experience wheelchair basketball and learn about adaptive sports firsthand. 🏀🦽

With access to sports wheelchairs and guidance from The Ability Center, students got to participate, challenge themselves, and experience what it takes to play the game from a different perspective. They also learned that adaptive sports go far beyond basketball, with opportunities to explore a variety of Paralympic-level sports.

Every student deserves the chance to play, participate, and feel included. 💚💙

When Elizabeth Knutson, Sun Prairie School District's 4K Program Coordinator, received a SPEF grant, she was able to help every 4K student begin building a home library! 🏡📚 This year-long project provided five books aligned with classroom literacy themes, with bilingual options available, to help connect learning at school to learning at home. 📖🧠

Thank you to Elizabeth who worked hard to get this project off the ground and to our donors who made it possible! 🤝
