Yesterday, active and retired members of Summit FMBA Local 54 gathered at St. Teresa Cemetery to continue a long‑standing tradition.

Together, we placed memorial flags on the graves of the firefighters who came before us — a simple but meaningful way to honor their service and ensure their legacy is never forgotten.

Today members of B- Platoon ran a full mask confidence drill, working through confined spaces, limited visibility, and real‑world obstacles. Drills like this sharpen our air management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Summit FMBA 54 proudly continued a long‑standing tradition a few weeks ago by assisting with cleaning and preparing the PAL concession trailer for the annual Fishing Derby. Always grateful for the chance to support programs that bring our community together

Summit FMBA Local 54 wishes retired Battalion Chief Howie Taylor a very happy 94th birthday!

Chief Taylor proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and fought at the Chosin Reservoir before beginning his career as a Summit firefighter. His dedication, courage, and lifelong service continue to inspire all of us.
