Solidarity is about standing together with a shared purpose.

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, solidarity means standing with survivors, supporting those impacted by domestic violence and working together to create safer communities.

At SafeSpace, we believe no survivor should have to face their journey alone. When advocates, families, organizations and community members come together, we strengthen the support available to those who need it most.

On Thursday, our Development Manager Amy Hammes arrived at Temple Beit HaYam in Stuart to receive an overwhelmingly generous donation, and it took multiple vehicles full of donations to bring it all home! 💜

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for the incredible kindness and generosity of the Temple Beit Hayam congregation. The outpouring of support from this community is truly humbling, and we cannot begin to express how much it means to SafeSpace and the individuals and families we serve.

Every donation represents more than an item—it represents compassion, hope, and a community coming together to support those working toward safety and freedom from violence.

We were honored to have our CEO, Jennifer Fox, speak with the wonderful women of SMARTS (Seniors Making a Round Trip Somewhere) at the Blake Library! 💜

Jennifer shared more about SafeSpace, our mission, and the services we provide to individuals and families across the Treasure Coast. The ladies were engaged, curious, and asked some truly thoughtful questions, making for a meaningful and informative conversation.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with community members, share what we do, and help ensure that more people understand the resources available to those impacted by domestic violence.

We want to take a moment to recognize two incredible volunteers who have poured their time, creativity, and hearts into our Connection Center. 💜

Emlyn and her daughter Yoselyn, who is a member of Girl Scout Troop 40630, took a space that needed some love and transformed it into something truly special. Through their hard work and incredible eye for organization and design, they created a space that feels welcoming, peaceful, organized, and accessible. A place where those we serve can feel comfortable and cared for.

The difference is remarkable, and we are so grateful for the time and energy you have given to SafeSpace. Your work may have changed a physical space, but the feeling you have created in it is what matters most.

We cannot do what we do without people like you. Thank you, Emlyn and Yoselyn, for sharing your time, talents, and generous hearts with SafeSpace. We are incredibly grateful for you both!
