Meet the horses at Summerwood Stables and spend time connecting through guided groundwork with Horse Centered Wellness for Heroes, a We Do Good program.

Active-duty military, veterans, first responders, their immediate families, and Gold Star families are welcome. No riding or prior horse experience is needed.

Golf For Heroes provides veterans, first responders, healthcare heroes, and their families with free professional golf instruction from Matt DeJohn Golf Academy and an opportunity to connect with others in our community.

All skill levels are welcome, including first-time golfers. Clubs can be provided.

A first responder is trained to answer the call. The Joshua is being built to recognize that commitment.

The latest progress at The Joshua First Responder Home is happening from the ground up. Site work continues as preparations are made for the next phase of the build.
The finished home may still be ahead, but this is where every future room, doorway and memory begins.

Eligible first responders can participate in The Joshua Initiative, with a $100 donation providing 1 entry.

We’re also proud to have WeDoGood connected to The Joshua, extending the purpose of this initiative through its support of military members and first responders.

That’s the heart behind Horse-Centered Wellness for Heroes, a WeDoGood.org program created for the men and women who spend so much of their lives taking care of everyone else — our Veterans, First Responders, and Healthcare Heroes. 🇺🇸

Through guided, ground-based interaction with horses, participants have an opportunity to step away from the everyday stress and simply connect.

No riding experience is necessary. This isn’t about learning how to ride a horse — it’s about discovering what can happen when you slow everything down and spend meaningful time beside one.

There’s more beneath the surface. 🌊

On October 17, our first Heroes for Habitat Excursion will bring military members, veterans, first responders, and their families onto our local waterways for a free, half-day experience. It’s a chance to spend time together, explore, and learn why restoring these habitats matters.

Blue Terra leads the water restoration work behind the program, and Freedom Boat Club of St Lucie County provides the boats that make the excursions possible.

Immediate family members of eligible heroes and surviving families of fallen heroes are welcome. Space is limited and registration is first come, first served.
