Dear Punascha family,

The autumn breeze has finally begun to turn crisp, carrying with it a familiar whisper, dissolving our year-long countdown in its faint scent. Suddenly, our Central Time makes way for Pujo time, turning every calendar day into a heartbeat.

Thousands of miles from home, autumn doesn't arrive on a gust of kaash flowers— it arrives in the frenzy of our living rooms and WhatsApp chats; in the sharp, sweet tang of mustard oil sizzling in a morning pan; in pulling out vibrant silks that have crossed oceans just to meet this week; in busy fingers crafting sweet sondesh and fine-tuning every tiny detail to build a doorway back to Bengal.
Between midnight menu debates, finalizing chaotic grocery lists, and all-night preparation meets, a rhythmic dhaak begins to echo within us and a familiar madness takes over. Distance fades, time bends, and for a few golden days, home isn’t a place on a map—it’s the shared warmth of our community coming together under one roof.

So, yes; the dhaak is already beating! Preps are on full swing!! Check out the video below to get a feel of it.
