Situated on a large, private, wooded lot, the home embraces organic architecture by using natural materials like cedar siding, slate tiles, and exposed beams. Vast expanses of custom sliding doors, strategic skylights, and scenic views from nearly every window seamlessly bring the outdoors inside.
Marvin Ginsberg began his career with Hellmuth, Yamasaki, Leinweber, and then Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum, and Bernard McMahon before opening his own firm, Marvin Ginsberg & Associates, later Sorkin, Ginsberg & Associates (1967-1996). Some of the notable projects he worked on or designed include: the Priory Chapel, Lambert Airport, Henry the VIII hotel and the Westport Chalet, as well as state park nature centers at Powder Valley, Babler and Trail of Tears.
