Judy's Forgotten Jewells We rescue animals in danger of euthanasia and place them into forever loving homes. We are based out of Jewell Animal Hospital, and founded by Patricia L.

Judy’s Forgotten Jewells became a licensed Non-Profit Animal Rescue Group in the summer of 2009! Smith, DVM. The name Judy’s Forgotten Jewells is in honor of Dr. Smith’s mother’s childhood dog “Judy Dog” and Jewell Animal Hospital. Since starting rescue work in 2006 Judy’s Forgotten Jewells has placed over 500 Dogs, Cats, Puppies, & Kittens in forever loving homes! Most of our animals come from shelters where they were at risk of being euthanized! We are run solely on volunteers and clinic staff! Our adoption fee helps cover a fraction of the cost to spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip implantation & activation, medical treatment, and any food used to feed the animal! We are a NO KILL rescue, so once an animal is adopted that opens up a space for us to bring in a new at risk animal! We are very passionate about our rescues and strongly encourage all pet owners to spay or neuter their pets to help end the cycle of pet overpopulation!

From tiny rescue babies to handsome grown-up boys… LOOK AT THEM NOW! 🥹❤️

Remember Walter (formerly Snoopy) and Skipper?! These two sweet brothers came to Judy’s Forgotten Jewells when they were just little babies, and seeing them all grown up together again absolutely melts our hearts! 🐶🐶

Walter found his forever family first, and Skipper followed a little while later. But just because they went to different homes doesn't mean their brotherly bond had to end! 🥰

These two lucky boys hit the jackpot with their families! Not only are they both SO loved, but their wonderful adopters actually make the effort to get them together for reunions! 🐾❤️

Different homes, same roots, brothers for LIFE! 💙

THIS is what rescue is all about. Watching the babies we once cared for grow into happy, healthy, loved dogs AND knowing their families are keeping that special connection alive!

Oreo is one of four kittens, and at 5 months old, this handsome little guy is more than ready to stop growing up at the rescue and start growing up with a family of his own! 🏡💕

Oreo is playful, friendly, and curious—everything you’d expect from a young kitten! He loves having fun, getting attention, and hanging out with his kitty friends. But what he really needs now is someone to look at that adorable little face and say, “You’re coming home with me.” 🥹

Mama came to Judy’s Forgotten Jewells with a whole bunch of little kittens depending on her. She did a wonderful job raising her babies, but Mama is really just a youngster herself! At only about 1 year old, she has plenty of life ahead of her—and we’d love for the next chapter to be in a home of her own. 🏡❤️

Mama is a shy but friendly girl. She may not be the kitty who immediately runs up demanding attention, but give her a little patience and time to feel comfortable, and you’ll start to see her sweet personality come through. 💕 Some cats simply need a little longer to decide that you're their person—and Mama is worth the wait!

We’re so happy to celebrate this sweet boy’s adoption! His mom, Miffy—now named Dolly—was also adopted by another family, so two members of our little trio have started their next chapters. 🏡💕

That leaves Dewie, the dad, still waiting for his turn! This calm little Chihuahua is ready for a family to call his own. Could you be the one to complete the trio’s happy endings? 🐶❤️

With lots of kitties in our care, you can probably imagine how much litter we go through! 😹 We scoop and clean constantly to make sure every cat has a fresh, clean litter box, and our supply is running low.

🛒 Our preference is clumping cat litter, but we will happily take ANY litter you’re willing to donate — clumping OR non-clumping!

Every bag, box, and jug helps us keep our cats comfortable and their spaces clean while they wait for their forever homes. ❤️🐾

🐾 Sometimes all you need is a good friend to show you the way. ❤️

Today, our sweet Payton (the tan & white Beagle) got to go on a walk with her new buddy Tink, a Mini Schnauzer. 🐶🐶

Now, before anyone falls in love with Tink — she’s not up for adoption! 😂 She belongs to one of the wonderful employees at Jewell Animal Hospital. But she had a very important job today: helping Payton see that the world isn’t quite as scary as it seems. ❤️

Payton can be easily spooked by unfamiliar sounds and surroundings. You can almost see her battling with herself — “Do I run away from this… or am I actually okay?”

And that's where Tink came in. 🥹

Having a confident little dog walking beside her helped Payton tremendously. The longer they walked, the more comfortable Payton became. With every step, Payton relaxed just a little more.

That’s Payton. She just needs time.

She doesn’t need someone who expects her to walk into a new home and immediately understand that everything is safe. She needs someone patient enough to show her. Someone who will give her the time to experience new things, build confidence, and realize that the world doesn’t have to be scary.

There is such a sweet, wonderful girl underneath those fears — and we know the right person is out there for her. 💕
