Construction Forum We are a nonprofit dedicated to addressing the “big issues” facing the St. Louis Region What if there was a room big enough for EVERYONE in the St. Now there is.

Louis construction industry to meet, build relationships, exchange ideas, and work on mutual problems? Construction Forum was created to be a “room without walls” where the entire industry could participate in building relationships and working on issues large and small. We believe that when the construction community comes together to network, discuss ideas, and share information we are all bette

r for it. The Forum intends to make full use of social media, public networking events, and its website to enable those objectives.

At Construction Forum, our mission is to facilitate collaboration among all stakeholders in the St. Louis region’s built environment—fostering inclusive, robust employment and economic growth.
This year’s awards honored trailblazers who align with our vision of social equity, economic opportunity, and growth. We’re proud to recognize the following individuals and organizations:

Coordinating Council Award
The Goley Companies – Recognized for building inclusive career paths and innovative apprenticeship partnerships with SIUE.

Digital Hub Award
Wade Johnson, U.S. Department of Labor – Honored for advancing nontraditional apprenticeships, including the launch of our Certified Survey Technician program.

Leadership Institute Award
Riding Boss Program – A collaboration between the Mason Contractors Association of St. Louis and the Bricklayers ADC, focused on su***de prevention and mental health in the trades.

Knowledge Lab Award
Kevin Buchek, CEO of Roanoke Construction – Celebrated for driving opportunity for diverse contractors and workers in North County and beyond.

Meet Nicole Adewale, LEED AP!
Dr. Nicole Adewale, principal and co-founder of ABNA ENGINEERING INC, is a well-known figure in the St. Louis Region for her dedication to opening the eyes of young people to careers in STEAM and for mentoring other M/WBE businesses.

She, her Mom, and daughters are all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha. She is a lifetime member of the National Association of Black Engineers and involved on the international level with First Robotics.

She is known and respected in the industry for her role over three decades of building ABNA, a highly successful firm which provides services in the civil, environmental, construction management, transportation, structural, land surveying, MEP, GIS/Planning, and Mass Transit spaces.
