C.H.A.N.C.E. will provide resources that are both educational and faith-based. The C.H.A.N.C.E. program aims to break down negative cycles of incarceration, recidivism, and impairment that impacts our nation. Our program uses a combination of training – spiritual, personal development and occupational, as well as recreational activities – that focus on positive engagement. The ultimate goal is to
provide ex-offenders, male and female, the forum to transition with lasting benefits that literally improve their quality of life. Members will leave our program educated and equipped with skills that are necessary to achieve economic independence and permanent self-sufficiency. In addition, we have goals to provide temporary and long-term safe and affordable housing to those who complete our training program, as well as a city and state-wide job placement component. Our C.H.A.N.C.E. Fund will primarily support the development and operation of the housing facilities, whereas the job placement component will be built as a social – business venture that earns revenue for the overall good of each program member on a long-term basis. We focus on the well-being of citizens within the society, working on changing the mindsets of ex-offenders by laying out the foundation of what personal detoxing looks like and the importance of spiritual awareness. After that, we work with our members so they understand what detrimental behaviors are and how to recognize them. This will help them be receptive to the lesson plans that range from healing and strengthening family bonds, conflict resolution, life coping skills, job readiness, and entrepreneurship to name a few.
