Louis Alumni Association boasts more than 70,000 members living in all 50 states and more than 60 countries. The UMSL Alumni Relations Office raises critical funds to provide scholarships, support academic programs and strengthen community partnerships as well as to help alumni maintain the associations, friendships and interests they formed as students at UMSL. Our alumni continue to achieve succ

essful and significant employment after graduation, and each member of our alumni association exerts a positive impact on the St. Louis region. Our Alumni Association is made up of several chapters and committees, including a student component that serves as our Student Alumni Association, STAT (Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow). The Community Relations component of the UMSL alumni association is forming partnerships and building relationships with surrounding communities, businesses, elected officials, and police and fire departments. UMSL is proud to be collaborating with the 24:1 initiative and supports its goal of linking the 24 suburban communities surrounding the Normandy School District with one share division of strengthening the community.

Kiersten Kelleher is graduating from UMSL this summer, and scholarship support has allowed her to gain international educational experience that sets her apart from her peers. Read more about Kiersten's travels and her plans to begin her MBA:

Kelleher has spent time in Bremen and Aschaffenburg, Germany, and has plans for another study abroad program in Ecuador while pursuing her MBA.

One of our newest alumni, Callie Clinton, has earned a role as a financial advisor for SageSpring Wealth Partners in Franklin, Tennessee. During her time at UMSL, she was a member of the Pierre Laclede Honors College and participated on the women's swimming and diving team, earning academic all-district honors. Congratulations, Callie!

UMSL alumna Samantha Star Brainerd has a lifelong passion for community service. As the founder of Message Meals, an initiative supporting children facing food insecurity, Brainard says she is "dedicated to being the helping hand I once needed." Her story, linked below, is featured in the Spring 2026 edition of UMSL Magazine.

Brainerd, who graduated with her bachelor's degree from UMSL in 2018, works as a human resources associate specialist at Mastercard.

The UMSL School of Engineering is growing with the assistance of the St. Louis business community! A $1 million pledge from Ameren Corporation will help construct the Ameren Electrical Engineering Lab, offer scholarships, and provide experiential learning opportunities for engineering students. Ameren leaders will also help shape curriculum and strengthen alignment with industry needs by serving on the Founding Corporate Council and Engineering Advisory Council.
