🌟 August Recap & A Joyful Step Into September! 🌟

August was a month overflowing with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments! 💛✨ Our August 8th Donzell Chat Session was truly something special — the room was filled with smiles 😄, connection 🤝, and a surprise birthday celebration 🎂 that touched everyone’s hearts. The residents came together with so much appreciation, joy, and gratitude, reminding us once again how powerful community can be. 💬❤️

Seeing Donzell celebrated so beautifully was a highlight of the month — a moment that showed just how deeply he is valued and how much his presence means to Rise Up. 🙌🎉 What a blessing to witness!

As we close out August, we carry that same warmth and unity straight into September 🍂✨ — a season of growth, reflection, and fresh beginnings. This month is extra meaningful as we celebrate Angelica’s birthday 🎉👑! Her compassion, strength, and unwavering belief in transformation inspire every person who walks through our doors. She is truly the heartbeat of Rise Up. 💖🔥

And we’re shining a bright spotlight this month on Melissa Carron from Operation HOPE 🌟💼! Her dedication to financial empowerment is helping our residents build confidence, stability, and independence. Melissa’s impact is real, powerful, and deeply appreciated. 🙏📈

When a new resident moves into Rise Up Transitional Resources, they receive more than a place to stay.

They enter a supportive housing environment designed to help them build confidence, stability, independence, and the everyday life skills needed for long-term success.

Through our Rise Up Success Pathways curriculum, residents are supported in key areas including:

🏃 Health & Wellness
Learning healthy routines, stress management, self-care, and emotional wellness.

💰 Finances & Budgeting
Building confidence with budgeting, saving money, understanding credit, paying bills, and setting financial goals.

🌱 Personal Development
Developing confidence, communication skills, accountability, goal-setting habits, and resilience.

🛠️ Essential Life Skills
Practicing time management, job readiness, household skills, problem solving, and professional etiquette.

We are looking for a company who would like to be our next Family Sponsorship for our resident who will be starting the community living skills program with us in October. This resident has taken our financial literacy class and will be starting wellness classes this September. She has done her part, it is now time for us to do our part and help her the next three months with rent and utilities assistant while she saves money for a down payment on an apartment of her own. Jasmine, one of our wonderful residents, led a community walk to promote health and togetherness. Plus, she organized a community haircut event, helping everyone feel their best! Huge thanks to her for making such a positive impact! 🙌✂️

During our CRUSH of St. Charles County event, we want to extend a huge thank you to the O'Fallon Missouri Police Department for their generous food donations to Rise Up.

It was wonderful connecting with you yesterday, and our residents loved helping as volunteers!
