During Honey's recent session with Cassady from Swan Equine Therapy, we learned about a gentle craniosacral technique that works with the poll area.

One of the most interesting parts was watching Honey's reactions throughout the session. As she relaxed, we observed changes in her expression, posture, and overall demeanor.

We're grateful for opportunities to learn more about Honey and discover ways to support her comfort and well-being.

Thank you to Cassady from Swan Equine Therapy for sharing your knowledge with us. 💜

Many veterans return home carrying invisible wounds.

Some struggle with PTSD, isolation, loss of routine, or difficulty reconnecting with others. While traditional support services are important, healing can also happen through purpose, connection, and community.

That's where Healing with Honey comes in.

Through guided walking, companionship, and daily care with Honey, our senior rescue mare, veterans can experience:

🤎 A renewed sense of purpose
🤎 Meaningful connection and companionship
🤎 Structure and routine
🤎 Time outdoors and gentle physical activity
🤎 Reduced feelings of isolation
🤎 A safe, non-clinical healing environment
🤎 Opportunities to build trust and confidence

As veterans help Honey continue her healing journey, Honey helps provide something equally valuable in return—connection.

Because sometimes healing begins with simply showing up, being present, and taking one step at a time.

Healing with Honey is a therapeutic, relationship-based program designed to support both a rescued senior horse and military veterans.

Honey is a 20-year-old rescue mare who benefits from gentle daily movement, companionship, and consistent care.

Through this program, veterans are paired with Honey for structured walking, grooming, and connection sessions.

For Honey, this helps maintain mobility, circulation, emotional well-being, and quality of life.

For veterans, it provides a non-clinical, trauma-informed experience centered on purpose, routine, trust, and connection.

Because sometimes healing doesn't happen in an office.
Sometimes it begins with a walk beside a horse. 🐴🤎

Honey & Bella enjoyed a Day of Wellness ✨🐴

Honey and Bella received special care from Cassady of Swan Equine Therapy LLC. 🤎

Through massage and tuning fork therapy, they were able to relax, release tension, and enjoy dedicated time focused on their comfort and well-being.

As rescue horses, ongoing wellness care plays an important role in helping them feel their best and continue their healing journey. We are grateful for the compassionate support that helps our animals thrive.

A heartfelt thank you to Cassady and Swan Equine Therapy LLC for sharing your expertise and care with Honey and Bella. 💜

We love seeing our girls receive the attention, comfort, and healing they deserve.

QUESTION OF THE DAY 🤎

What if the worst thing you've ever done wasn't the end of your story?
Would you want someone to give you a second chance?

At SCROR, we believe healing begins when compassion is stronger than judgment—for both animals and people.
