CFWWC is now taking applications for this summer's Youth Conservation Crew (YCC)!
The application window closes on March 31st, so get those applications in soon.
The Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council (CFWWC), a nonprofit organization based in Cottage Grove, Oregon, founded their Youth Conservation Crew (YCC) in 2018 to provide local youth with on-the-job training alongside natural resource professionals. The program is designed to promote the stewardship of community resources while preparing our youth for future success.
The YCC fosters growth in the workforce for individuals interested in our natural resources and looking for a progressive work experience. Crew members work alongside natural resource professionals from regional, state, and federal organizations. Activities include: trail building & maintenance, wildlife habitat restoration, plant & animal identification, erosion mitigation, fire lines & fuel reduction, invasive species removal, seed collection & propagation, monitoring & surveying, and diversity, equity, & inclusion training. Full and part time positions are available.
This opportunity is open to individuals ages 16-20. $17/hour. More information and how to apply at www.coastfork.org/youth-conservation-crew.
