Get ready for more reading challenges!

Thank you to all who participated in our Summer Reading Challenge 2026: Plant a Seed, Read! We had so much fun out on the Plaza, answering questions from Professor Cornpig, growing our book flowers on the bulletin board, hunting for plant stuffies, and reading all of your responses to our online Beanstack activities!

We had many raffle winners this summer. Congratulations to everyone! All winners have now been notified.

We have more reading challenges on Beanstack throughout the year like the upcoming Fall Into Reading and All-Ages OBOB Reading Challenges. We hope you will try some of these out. And next year our Summer Reading theme will be Reading expands Our Universe!!

The nonfiction section of Bring ‘em Back is a DIY dream. How to tune up your car, how to plant a shade garden, how to write like a pro, how to make a quilt. You can even learn about thimbles if you wish.

Titles change often as donations come in so check back every week.

No one has done more for literacy while being so sparkly as Dolly. 🦋

We join the rest of the library world in mourning the loss of Dolly Parton, an amazing musician, an incredibly kind person, and an advocate for children, books, and education. We are proud to connect people to the Imagination Library that she started in honor of her father who never learned to read.

Dolly famously said, "You can never get enough books into the hands of enough children," and we are proud to continue her work of connecting kids to books.

As the Imagination Library said in their post, "Dolly, we will always love you."

Thanks to a donor we have this beautiful collection of Reader’s Digest Condensed Books on the Bring ‘em Back shelves.

Use them for shelf decor, make a junk journal, frame the covers, make a book safe, or just read them!

Fun fact: Lila Acheson Wallace, cofounder of Reader’s Digest, is a 1917 University of Oregon graduate.
