Our new headquarters is coming together, and the more we see it take shape, the more excited we get about what this means for Springfield.

Because this is bigger than Victory Mission.

Homelessness is a challenge our whole city feels. More people need a place to turn, and the work of helping someone move out of homelessness takes more than a bed for the night. It takes relationships, consistent support, and the space to walk with someone as they rebuild their life.

This new building will allow us to increase our capacity, move into a more central location, and welcome more neighbors who need a place to start again.

That means more room for people to take their next steps. More room for restoration. More room for hope to take root right here in Springfield, MO.

We still have a ways to go before we open the doors, but just imagine what will happen inside them.

Follow along for more construction updates!

When Torre first came to Victory Mission, he never imagined where he’d end up.

After going through our Restoration Program, he started building a different kind of future for himself. Today, he’s our Kitchen Manager, leading the same kitchen where he once started out.

And he’s not done learning. Torre is studying culinary arts at OTC, continuing to grow his skills and pursue what’s next.

We love seeing what happens when someone gets the chance to start again, discovers what they’re capable of, and keeps going.

We’re proud to have you on the team, Torre.

For more than a decade, we’ve been praying for a new space where Victory Mission could serve more of our neighbors, and now we’re watching that prayer take shape.

What was once a vision, a rendering, and a lot of faith is now a building under construction.

This new shelter will create more room to welcome people, build relationships, provide resources, and walk alongside our neighbors as they work toward a different future.

There’s still a long way to go, but seeing this building come to life is a pretty incredible reminder that some things are worth praying for, waiting for, and believing in.

We can’t wait to see what God does here.

Recovery takes more than a decision to change. It takes people, support, accountability, and the opportunity to keep moving forward.

We’re so grateful to the Greene County Commission for awarding Victory Mission $50,000 through the Greene County Opioid Settlement Program.

This funding will support men in our shelter, transitional shelter, and Restoration Program through case management and counseling, giving more men the support they need as they work toward lasting recovery.

We’re thankful to be one of six local organizations receiving this investment, and even more thankful for the opportunity to keep walking alongside our neighbors as they rebuild their lives.

This is what hope looks like. At just 18 years old, Marshall came to Victory Mission straight out of the foster care system.

His story looks different from many of the stories we share. And that’s part of what makes Victory Mission unique. The people who walk through our doors come from all different backgrounds, circumstances, and seasons of life.

Some have experienced homelessness. Some are coming out of foster care. Some are rebuilding after addiction, incarceration, or years of instability. And some simply need someone to walk alongside them as they figure out what comes next.

For Marshall, a lot has happened in just one week.

He graduated from our Work Ready Bootcamp, landed an interview at SRC, and is ready to start working on his relationship with Jesus.

At 18, he has so much life ahead of him. We’re grateful to be part of his story and excited to see where God takes him next.

This is what hope looks like. This is what it looks like to walk alongside our neighbors as they build a new future.
