We invite you to join us in praying over families, teachers, students, and schools in Springfield this week.

As another school year begins, we'd love for our community to pause and pray together.

Lord,
Go before every student walking into a classroom this year.
Give them courage when they're nervous, friendship when they feel alone, wisdom when learning feels hard, and confidence in who You've created them to be.
Protect them physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Be with every teacher, administrator, bus driver, counselor, and staff member. Give them patience, strength, and joy for the work You've called them to do.

Bring peace to every parent as they entrust their children to another year of learning and growing.

And Lord, we especially lift up the children carrying burdens no backpack should ever have to hold.

The child experiencing homelessness.

The child whose home doesn't feel safe.

The child who wonders if anyone sees them.

The child starting over.

The child who simply needs someone to believe in them.

Surround them with caring adults, faithful friends, and moments that remind them they are deeply loved and full of purpose.
May this be a year marked by kindness, growth, healing, and hope.

Amen.

There’s always something to celebrate at Victory Mission.
This week, we celebrated:
- Mr. Coleman giving his life to Jesus.
- Roger moving into his own studio apartment.
- A former shelter resident stopping by to show off his new truck and share where he is now.
- Chris getting his driver’s license!

We’re so proud of the men in these photos. These are just snippets of their stories, but they give you a glimpse of the work happening every day at Victory Mission.

$46,000 invested in restoration.

We're incredibly grateful to the local banking partners who continue to believe in the work happening at Victory Mission.

Through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund, OMB, Great Southern Bank and Southern Bank have helped bring $46,000 in funding to Victory Mission through three grants:

OMB - $10,000

Great Southern Bank - $16,000

Southern Bank - $20,000

These investments help us continue creating pathways to stability for people and families in our community.
