At The Doula Foundation, we know that welcoming a new baby is a journey for the entire family. While our doulas provide support for mothers, they also help fathers feel informed, empowered, and confident as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
Whether it's answering questions, providing encouragement, helping dads advocate for their growing family, or simply offering reassurance during a life-changing transition, doulas help fathers play an active and meaningful role every step of the way.
For over 25 years, The Doula Foundation has been honored to support families throughout the Ozarks, strengthening the bonds between parents and helping create healthy beginnings for babies. Today, we celebrate the fathers whose love, dedication, and support make a lasting difference in the lives of their children.

At The Doula Foundation, we recognize that every family deserves access to compassionate care, support, and opportunities for healthy beginnings. As we celebrate Juneteenth, we also reflect on the importance of working toward a future where all mothers, babies, and families have equitable access to the resources and care they need to thrive.

For new moms, taking care of their newborn is normally all they can think about. But over the past year, some moms in Missouri have had more options for support without worrying about the cost.

The shelter can sleep up to 50 women a night, but rather than placing cots in an open room, it’s been designed with individual pods.
