SAA is home to many activities for all ages in the Art School for classes, workshops and camps; Historic Edwards Place for tours and events; Michael Victor II Art Library for book loans and scholarly presentations; Art Outreach, a free regional school resource; Art Gallery for local and national artist exhibitions. We host festivals year round from the Edwards Place Fine Art Fair to the Molly Schlich Film Series.

Something “A-Mazing” is coming to the M.G. Nelson Family Gallery on our main campus! Join us this Friday (September 4th) from 5:30-7:30PM for the opening reception of “It’s A-amazing, What Art Feels Like,” an exhibit designed to be experienced by touch! This exhibit is presented in collaboration with the Educational Center for the Visually Impaired!

We are looking for high school and adult volunteers to help us with our upcoming Edwards Place Fine Art Fair! This is a really great event to have fun and help a non-profit organization. Save the date for our first "Art of Giving Day!" The mission of this day is simple: to honor our past and secure our future.

September 29th is an important date to the SAA. On this day 113 years ago, the generosity of Alice Ferguson allowed 7 local women to fulfill their vision in a permanent location, now known as the Springfield Art Association. Stay tuned throughout the month to learn more about these women and their vision for Springfield through the arts. We hope you will join us on September 29th to honor their legacy!

ATTENTION MEMBERS!

Fall class registration is open today (August 25th) at 9AM! Please be advised:
- If you attempt to register prior to 9AM, you will receive a "sold out" message or a message that says "class not available until 8/27."
- Our staff will try to answer every call, but due to the volume of calls we receive, please register online for your best chance to get into your desired class.
- We manually update our website, so please be patient with us while we update it throughout the day adding waitlist buttons to the sold out classes.

Thank you to everyone who attended our “250 Years of Fashion” event in Edwards Place yesterday! We would also like to extend a huge shoutout and thanks to our amazing models, most of whom made their outfits that they showcased! It was truly a wonderful afternoon full of incredible fashion!
