Dear unified Christian community - reach out to us if you would like more information about opportunities to serve our Haitian neighbors during this time of crisis. Also, let’s spend some time this weekend “spurring one another on to love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24) as we grieve the tragic loss of Pierre Damas Bel and honor the two pastors who have been detained by ICE. Let’s lift up all of these families and congregations in prayer as one unified voice in Clark County.

ONE PRACTICAL NOTE: Skip the beef OR drop off the beef separately for Saint Vincent to put in their freezer.

Well, this sounds fun!

Can we celebrate one of our Ministry Partners (ECA), and most of all, Macey Hudson tonight? Go ahead, and give her a virtual high-five right now!

💣💣 If you haven't heard the news, we have our very own Dayton Athlete of the Week! Congrats Macey! We love to see your hardwork and countless hours of reps pay off! And it couldn't have been a better week! Macey was voted Dayton Daily News Athlete of the Week coming off a week where she secured her 500th killl, 100th block and put up a double-double against Northeastern with 27 kills, 25 digs, 2 blocks and 7 aces! So well deserved! We are proud to call you a lion! 💣💣 https://www.journal-news.com/sports/athlete-of-the-week-macey-hudson-emmanuel-christian/article_b36c346e-9720-5926-bb97-1247c9fe8aca.html

💛We can’t always see the impact our kindness has on others, but that doesn’t stop the New Roots Mentoring “Golden Girls” from choosing to be kind and helpful every day. Sometimes, we simply need a reminder that our actions can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us.

Through the Golden Girls program, students showed an increased understanding that they are kind and helpful to others. This realization helps build their self-worth and resilience while reminding them that even when they don’t see the impact of their kindness, it still matters. You never know how far a little kindness can go.

✨ Who We Are Wednesday✨

At SCYM, we believe every young person deserves a caring adult who will listen, encourage, and walk alongside them. Sometimes this happens through group mentoring, like with STARS, Explorers, or $tart-up... sometimes it happens through 1:1 mentoring, like with The Legacy Project.

Today, we are featuring a young man who is looking for a mentor.

Please meet "J" (not his real name). J is a great kid with a lot of personality... he is a real joy to talk to! J would like to have a Christian mentor who he can talk to and who will help him navigate relationships. If you or anyone you know are interested in learning more about becoming a mentor for J, please contact us at [email protected]

Join us in praying for all of our Clark County Ministry Partners and all of our Clark County Schools!

Today, we’re featuring another one of our amazing partner schools, Hayward Middle School! 💙

Hayward partners with us through $tart-Up, our entrepreneurship program for 7th and 8th graders. Through $tart-Up, students get the opportunity to explore their ideas, develop business skills, and learn how to turn an idea into a real business.

We’re grateful for our partnership with Hayward and the opportunity to invest in their students!

Will you join us in praying for Hayward Middle School and ALL of Springfield City Schools as they start a new school year? 🙏💙

Hope has a way of carrying us through difficult seasons.

Sometimes hope is simply the choice to believe that tomorrow can be different from today.

May we never underestimate the power of hope, and may we be people who help others find it. 💙
