Through our network of local partner agencies, we're helping connect residents in Clark, Champaign, and Madison counties with the resources they need during life's most difficult moments. From food assistance and counseling to emergency support and other essential services, help is available right here in our community.

It's a DOLLY TAKEOVER!



Join us Friday, September 4th at The State Theater (19 S Fountain) for a night celebrating the one and only Dolly Parton!

7–9 PM: Dolly Parton sing-along. Bring your best twang and sing along to all her greatest hits!

9 PM–12 AM: Epic Karaoke will continue with their previously scheduled evening.

The countdown is on! ⛳️ We are just days away from the 21st Annual United Way Golf Outing this Monday, August 31, at Springfield Country Club.

Please join us in welcoming Cara Rigsbee to the United Way of Clark, Champaign, and Madison Counties team as our new Director of Development & Philanthropy, where she leads fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnership initiatives.

With more than a decade of executive leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, Cara has built a reputation for strengthening organizations through strategic relationship development, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. Prior to joining United Way, she served as Senior Director of Member Services at United Senior Services.

Throughout her career, Cara has provided executive oversight for multimillion-dollar nonprofit operations, including financial management, strategic planning, and organizational development. She has cultivated strong partnerships across Clark County, collaborating with agencies and community leaders.

Cara is passionate about connecting people, resources, and opportunities to create meaningful impact. She recently completed Cornell University's Financial Success for Nonprofits certificate program and continues to champion innovative approaches to philanthropy, community engagement, and nonprofit sustainability.

Some of you may have already heard the news that Dolly Parton passed away today at the age of 80.

For us, Dolly was more than a star. She an example of what kind of difference we can make if we work together.

Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she has helped millions of children discover the joy of reading and the freedom to dream.

At United Way of Clark, Champaign, and Madison Counties, we are honored to serve as the local Imagination Library partner. Month after month, children all over Clark, Champaign, and Madison Counties excitedly open their mailboxes to find a brand-new book waiting just for them. Those books create special family moments, inspire young readers, and remind children that someone believes in them.

Today, our hearts are heavy, but they are also full of gratitude.
Grateful for her generous spirit.
Grateful for her unwavering belief in literacy for children.
Grateful for a legacy that will continue changing lives for generations to come.
