We were blessed to have a wonderful community group from Cross Church come out last night.

From weeding and watering (in 100°F!) to cleaning and organizing and even fixing the garbage disposal.... we could tell that this team have the hearts and will to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

A special shoutout to our incredible labor coach, Patricia Foster!

Patricia has faithfully volunteered with Compassion House for 9 years, and this week marked her 8th delivery serving as a labor coach for one of our young moms!

We are so thankful for Patricia and the incredible compassion, encouragement, and love she gives to every young woman she is paired with. Having someone like Patricia by their side during such an important moment is truly a gift.

Thank you, Patricia, for loving our girls so well and for being such an important part of Compassion House! 💜

WE DID IT!!! 💜

Compassion House is officially DHS CERTIFIED!

Thank you so much to everyone who prayed for us, encouraged us and cheered us on today and throughout this process. We are so grateful and so excited for what this means for the young mothers and babies we will be able to serve.

What a HUGE day for Compassion House! 💜

This morning, I’d love to ask for your thoughts and prayers for Compassion House. Today at 1:30, I’ll be meeting with the Child Welfare Agency Review Board as we take the final step toward becoming DHS certified.

This certification will allow us to begin serving pregnant and parenting teens in foster care, serve more young mothers and their children, and open the door to referrals from across the state. We’ve worked hard to get to this point, and I’m so grateful for everyone who has encouraged and supported us along the way.

Prayers for a smooth meeting and a positive outcome would mean so much to us today. 💜

Baby showers are always such a special time at Compassion House.

Today we had the joy of celebrating Nimreah as she prepares to welcome her baby boy!

We love these opportunities to surround our residents with love, support, and encouragement as they step into motherhood. Nimreah was celebrated by her mentor and labor coach, Compassion House staff, friends from CLC, and of course, Pastor Danny—our faithful token male at our showers!

A huge thank you to everyone who celebrated with us and to those who couldn’t attend but sent gifts to help shower Nimreah and her little one with love. We’re so grateful for our Compassion House community! 💜

Sometimes self-care is about so much more than looking good—it’s about feeling good, too. 💜

At Compassion House, we want our residents to feel cared for, confident, and valued. And we have an extra perk these days—one of our newest staff members knows how to do hair and loves doing it for others! She’s been able to use that talent to help our residents feel confident and beautiful.
