We had a great group from Shadle High planting seeds and pulling weeds at our garden just south of their campus today! Join us there on Wednesday at 10 to help tend the garden with Salish School students.

Join us tonight between 5:30-7:30 to help with a Native Plant Rescue Mission at the future Salish School location near SFCC. Bring a shovel, trowel, bucket with some water, empty pots, gloves, and/or your energy and passion for growing healthy food and relationships with your neighbors! Head east on W Elliot Dr. off of W Whistalks Way, park at the dead end, and walk east into the natural area to find us :)

Grab a free meal and enjoy a presentation by author and urban farmer Amie with at 5:30 at Shadle Church on Tuesday, 3/10

Amie Torkelson, is the founder of a thriving urban farm in Spokane with a bold and practical mission: to empower people to grow food and raise animals in the city. Amie equips people with the confidence and tools to grow their own food, steward animals responsibly, and build a more resilient, connected life and community in the middle of the city.

Rooted in the City: Reclaiming Life, Land & Community Right Where You Live

In this inspiring and practical presentation, Amie shares how farming in the city goes beyond raised beds and backyard chickens. Reimagine how to grow food and raise animals in urban spaces, cultivate the right heart and mindset, and love and serve the people right in front of you. Learn how small, faithful steps—taken today—can transform “someday” dreams into tangible action and thriving community.
