Week 2 of our Growing Chefs Series was wonderful! This week our participants brought their love for good food into the kitchen as they learned and connected together.

We enjoyed preparing with Lenore a delicious Indigenous fry bread paired with traditional wojapi, a flavorful berry sauce, while sharing stories, knowledge, and plenty of laughter around the table.

It was a beautiful reminder that food is more than a meal. It’s a way to bring people, culture, and community together. We’re grateful for everyone who made Week 2 so special, and we can’t wait to keep growing, learning, and cooking together as the Growing Chefs series continues.

We kicked off the first Growing Chefs event of the season at Mission Meadows Community Garden!

From garden to table, we got to experience the full journey of fresh, local ingredients and enjoyed a delicious meal together.

The food was absolutely delicious and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make our first event of the season such a success!

Here’s to more good food, good people, and meaningful Garden-to-Table experiences all season long!
